What determines death?

About a week ago I was at a friend’s funeral. While sitting on the outside of the church, because it was overwhelming packed on the inside, I began to toss around the idea in my head as to what qualifies who will be next in regard to their appointed time with death.

I was compel to take on this line of thought because my friend was relatively young, and just like you, we all wonder how is it that the guy up the street who has been an alcoholic or drug addict for years, however he lives to be 60, 70 or probably 80 years old. On the other hand a young child 7 years old is shot to death or knock down by a vehicle and instantly dies. You have to wonder how is it that the 80 year old drunkard, who would have seemingly wasted his life gets to live a long  life, but the 7 year old who’s just starting life, their life is cut short in such a short space of time.

During my earlier years, I was led to believe that if one does not live to see three score and ten (70 years), then somehow they have been cheated as it relates to their life. Also some would say that sin was the result of that person’s short time here on earth (be it sins of the parents being passed on to them or their own sins), for not reaching the seventy year mark according to (Psalm 90:10).

As you would imagine I became curious as to what exactly determines our appointed time as it relates to death. Was it sin, Was it being connected to the wrong people, health issues or could it be we just randomly die?

Well the bible pointed out to us well in advance that the wages or payment of sin is death, so this clearly indicates that we will all eventually die. Well, seeing that the qualifier for death is sin, then could it be that the one which commits the most sin becomes the next candidate for death? As you would probably imagine I passionately disagree with that thought, simply because how much sin could a child commit at the age of seven that would out number the sins of an eighty year old, who’s demise preceded the demise of the eighty year old?

So, the grand question is what qualifies or determines who will be next for death? Well the answer to this perplexing and elusive question is quite simple, and that answer is, purpose! Yes you’ve read correctly, purpose is what determines one’s demise and not the totality of sin or any other reason. Firstly, purpose is the original intent of a person, place or thing; the truth is, it is the real reason why a person exists. As a matter of fact I would venture to say purpose guarantees an individual life for a determine period of time. Another way we can look at purpose; purpose is the batteries that causes us to exist in this life and when these batteries or should I say purpose has died then so do we.

Now, how does death factor in with all of this? Well a person’s death is based on one of two things, and they are; either they’ve completed their purpose or time has ran out on their purpose. Of course every one of us has a specific period of time to accomplish our purpose. There is no negotiating as it relates to that set time. King Solomon verified this very important point when he said, “To everything there is a season and time to every PURPOSE under the sun, Ecclesiastes 3:1. Therefore the age at which one dies is irrelevant when compared to whether they’ve completed their purpose or time ran out on their purpose.

We automatically assume that we should have long life, we automatically assume that as parents our children should bury us, we automatically assume that folks like Martin Luther King, our favorite preachers, our favorite singers and folks that have made an enormous impact in this world should be around for a long time. However, purpose is what determines their tenure here on earth, and incorporated into purpose is an assigned time to fulfill that particular purpose.

The interesting thing about purpose is even if we’re not fulfilling or being hindered in completing our purpose, time is still ticking away at our assigned time to complete that purpose, so what does this mean? This indicates that our PURPOSE is what really matters (what is the reason God has allowed us to exist in this world). This is very important to note because the greatest hindrance to one’s purpose are:   Hate, rage, unforgiveness, bitterness, pride, confusion, frustration, fatigue, depression, loneliness, selfishness, being vindictive and the like. These things are eating away at our time and distracting us from what really matters and what really matters is our PURPOSE!

Many folks have left this planet, without doing or completing what they were sent here to do all because they became consumed by placing all their efforts on hating others, seeking revenge, being bitter, refusing to forgive and most of all planning the demise of others, not knowing that their demise may advance that of the one that they are plotting against. As a reminder while you are focusing on these things that are insignificant time is ticking away at your purpose.

Purpose cannot be accomplished or fulfill in isolation. This is so because nothing in God's creation was made or designed to operate independent of itself. Meaning no one that has, presently is or will be a part of your life was by chance, luck or accident. Their job for the most part unknowing to them was to make a deposit or a withdrawal in your life be it good or bad all in an effort to assist you in accomplishing your purpose. The catch is you must know when they have exhausted their time in your life and you must be strong and wise enough to except however that separation presents itself. I understand quite well that you cannot make others forgive you; neither can you force them to love you. Therefore, because your purpose is what matters, you must see how they factor in as it relates to your purpose and if they don't or have exhausted their time, then the choice is clear and that is, IT IS TIME TO GO FORWARD WITHOUT THEM!

My words of wisdom are quite simple this morning, and they are life is short, focus on what really matters and that is your purpose, because it is your purpose that determines how long you’ll be here, and it is also your purpose that God will judge you on. As a reference point Jesus die when he was thirty three years old he didn’t live to see seventy, right!, why? Because his purpose was completed, so please seek and complete your purpose, but for the sake of your eternal soul DO NOT LET TIME RUN OUT ON YOUR PURPOSE.

Heavenly Father your word says, the heart of the king is in your hand and you turn that heart however you desire. It is my prayer that you turn the hearts of your people towards the purpose of their existence and that they would place emphasis on completing their purpose before it’s too late, I humbly ask this request of you in the name of your son Jesus Christ. Amen!

Seasons

EVERY season in a person's life is filled with good and bad, this should be of no surprise to the one experiencing their season, simply because they were the one's responsible for planting the seeds via words and action that has produced whatever it is that they are currently experiencing as a season.

The word season comes from the Latin word 'satio' which literally means 'a time to sow'.
This is important to note because most believers are of the view that 'their season' is a time to receive only things that are good.
However, based on the understanding of the etymology of the word season, which literally means a time to sow, this suggests that whatever season we're in it is a direct result of the seeds (words and actions) that we've planted or sown in our previous seasons.

Therefore, to guarantee ourselves seasons of good or plenty or whatever season we desire, it is a must that we begin sowing or planting in our present seasons, what we desire to see in our future seasons. it is important to note that no season is by chance, accident or luck, but by carefully planted seeds knowingly or unknowingly in our past seasons that has brought fort the harvest that we see today. King Solomon said, "To everything there is a time and season (a time to sow) to every purpose under the sun (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Basically Solomon is saying that everything that exist, there was a period in time the seed/s of it were planted to bring about its existence to fulfill it purpose for its existence for that particular season. In verse two of this same scripture, King Solomon made a profound statement as it relates to seasons when he said, "There is a time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which was planted. Bottom line, life gives purpose and death brings and end to that purpose. This process is considered the cycle of all seasons.

Again, your words and actions of hate will no doubt produce a season of hate. Your words and action of love will no doubt produce a season of love. For every season that you find yourself in, sow the opposite of what you dislike in that particular season, so that you can look forward with confidence to a season that you desire! So the bottom line here folks is simply this, the word "season" is just a condensed form of the process of sowing and reaping. Your seasons are guaranteed based on what you sow today; therefore consider greatly the motive behind whatever it is that you are sowing, because your next season will see to it that it comes to fruition.

“The law of let”

Let him go, let her stay, let them travel, these are only but a few phrases where the word “let” is used so frequently in our everyday communications. Very few, if anyone ever gives serious thought as to the understanding and implication of this seemingly insignificant word, that we are about to discover has so much hidden authority and power.

My aim today is to unveil the mystery of the word let. The unveiling of this mystery will simultaneously demonstrate for us the “Law of let”. Which will in turn provoke us to become more conscious as to what it is that we are letting in and out of the worlds that we live in.

Firstly, there are two worlds that exist that mankind are aware of. These two worlds are easily distinguished mainly in the religious sectors of our societies, and they are the natural world that we presently live in and there is the invisible world, that is usually called the spiritual world, suggesting a world that we cannot see with our physical eyes. However very much as real as this present world, and as a matter of fact it is the parent world to this physical world that we live in. The truth is everything in this world that we live in got its beginnings or origin from the invisible or spiritual world. The question that we are about to exhaust is, how do things that are invisible or spiritual find its way in this natural physical world that we live in? Also can we as humans at will bring things out of that world into our natural world?

The Apostle Paul gave us a heads up to this mystery when he said, “While we look not at the things that are seen, but at the things that are not seen (spiritual/invisible): for the things which are seen (physical) are temporal but the things which are not seen are eternal. In simple terms Paul is saying that the things which we can relate to with our five senses in this natural world are fading or vanishing right before our eyes, in fact they speak to a higher order. They are only small manifestations of what we cannot see. Instead he said, fix or focus on what we don’t see, again, meaning that which is spiritual. So how do you set your eyes on what you don’t see? Well, you focus on what is being displayed in the person or thing, and one is now able to  identified the spirit in operation. This implies that the one you're fighting with is not the origin of your problem.  For example, a child that is rebellious, the physical child is only displaying what the spirit of rebellion is acting out in the child. So unless you address the spirit via prayer of course, you will forever be attempting to correct the child physically with little to no results.

Now how did this spirit get into this physical child? Very good question, because now we are about to be introduced to the law of let. In the book of Genesis chapter 1, the entire chapter is littered with two main phrases and they are, “Let there be” and “God saw. Let’s zoom in with a microscope to view the details as to the hidden mystery that is happening here. In Genesis 1:3 it reads, “And God said let there be light, and there was light. Now the word let is defined as: allowing or giving permission or authority to pass or be transferred from one region, area, place or world to another. Secondly, whatever it is that is being moved or transferred MUST BE IN EXISTANCE ALREADY!

So, in essence light existed already but through the law of let, God allowed or gave permission for light which existed already to be passed on to our physical world. Now, the million dollar question is where was light being transferred or passed from? Again, I am happy that you’ve asked. We can all agree that God is a spirit according to John 4:24, so if he is a spirit and he is the creator of all things then everything must have its origin from a spirit or spiritual beginning and as a reminder there are only two worlds.
So when God said let there be light, of course light already existed, he was allowing or giving light permission to move from the spirit world and enter this physical world where we now live, wow! But how did he do it? He did it with his words. Through his words he gave the authority or permission for the transfer of something from one world to the next.

Genesis 1:26 says, God created us in his likeness and image, again God is a spirit so he does not have a flesh body like we do. So to be created in his likeness, it would suggest we are created spirit beings like himself also accompanied with the power to let things in from one world to the next…… my God!

My question to you my beloved readers, what have you been “letting” via the law of let to enter your world knowing or unknowingly? As you would recall God did all of the letting with his words. We have that same power as Christian or sinner, the law that governs this act is found in proverbs 18:21, and it reads, “There is death and life in the power of the tongue and they that love it (death or life) shall eat the fruits (a fruit is the end result of a seed) that it produce. Jesus said, “By your words you will be condemn and by your words you’ll be justified.

In Genesis 1:2 it reads, the spirit of the lord moved upon the face of the deep, as he spoke his spirit put into action whatever he said. You are doing the exact same thing when you speak; the Angelic forces of the lord are awaiting the word of God from your lips to c ausethe spiritual things of God to  be released in your world Psalms 103:20. You have them already they just need to be released. Ephesians 1:3 reads, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who had (past tense) blessed us with all spiritual (invisible) blessing in heavenly (spiritual world) places.

On the other hand Satan’s demonic kingdom, with the spiritual or invisible ranking of principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places, are consistently tempting each and every one of us only in an effort to let them in our world, via the law of let. They are tirelessly looking for an opening in our lives. These openings come about when we disobey or violate the laws of God. For example when we lie, commit adultery, or even worst when we speak things that are negative like, “Every time you make one step forward you have to take two backward”, “I only work to pay bills”, “This man or woman aren’t no good”, “These children will send me straight to hell”. It is these words where the law of let is in full operation.

My words of wisdom for this day are: “He that keeps or guards his mouth simultaneously keeps or guards his life from trouble. The sum total of your life is as a result of what you have allowed to pass from the spirit world to your natural world via the law of let.

Heavenly father, help us not to focus on what we see physically, but to be focus on what we do not see which is spiritual. Give us the discerning power to not only decipher and identify the spirit or spirits that are operating in that person place or thing but to bind it and cast it out in the name of your son Jesus Christ. Amen!

There are more with us, than those that are against us!

“And he answered, be not afraid, for there are more with us than those that are with them” 2 kings 6:16. These were the words that the prophet Elisha said to his servant, who became overwhelmed with fear when he saw a host of soldiers surrounding himself and his master Elisha.

My main purpose this morning is to encourage you, and to assist in pulling you up out of that place of despair and utter hopelessness. Yes! I am fully aware there are times one becomes so depress and tired of the same old roller coaster ride day after day, to the point you don’t want to hear nothing about God or his scriptures.

The truth is, we all experience this from time to time, especially when it appears as if God just isn’t hearing us while we’re screaming out to him for some form of help or relief in our seemingly endless cycle of misery that we’re currently experiencing. The good news is we have help; as a matter of fact we have tremendous help. Unfortunately, the help that has been made available to us is not visible, however very much real and ever present.

Every challenge for the believer, God has in advance outfitted him with overwhelming help. This is why he said he will not put more on you than you can bear, and he’s made a way in advance for your escape to your situation 1 Corinthians 10:13.

The problem we have is, the only help we recognize is the help that is tangible, meaning help we can see and feel, "our fellow human being". To a certain extent you are right, put our greater help are the thousands of Angels that protect us from dangers seen and unseen. In my opening sentence I mentioned briefly the account of Elisha and his servant. The servant got up one morning went outside and saw physically the Syrian army with their horses and chariots surrounding the residence of Elisha and his servant. The servant ran back inside, obviously visibly shaken, and said to Elisha what he saw. Clearly they were out numbered, strangely enough, Elisha said to his servant, “Fear not, for there are more with us than those that are with them”. I am almost certain the servant wondered if Elisha was demonstrating signs of old age. Nevertheless, the servant did not question Elisha. Elisha then prayed and appeal to God for a strange request. Elisha said, God open his eyes so that he may see”.

Now maybe I read that passage of scripture wrong, but wasn’t the servant eyes open when he saw the Syrian army surrounding them? Yes it was, and that is what he physically saw, but there was another army that by far out numbered the Syrian army that could not be seen physically, and that was the Angelic army of the Lord waiting to do battle on behalf of his people.

I am saying to you today who feel as if there is no end to your drama, or the hopeless feeling of despair and the false idea of there being no help readily available for you. Firstly, you must believe, rely and depend on what God word says about your help he’s made available to you.

The word of the Lord for you on this day is: THE LORD IS FIGHTING FOR YOU; YOU NEED ONLY TO BE STILLExodus 14:14.  In your resistance, complaining and murmuring of what’s happening to you, you are polluting the will of God for you and interrupting the assignments of his Angels to fight on your behalf. The invisible hands of God are presently at work in your life. Scripture reveals that “The Angel of the Lord encamp round about them that fear him, and delivers them” Psalms 34:7.

Finally, scripture encourages us further that God has given his Angels charge or command over us to keep us in all our ways, and if we as much as dash our foot against a stone, they will gather us up in their arms Psalms 91: 11,12. As the word of the Lord was issued to Jehoshaphat, I now repeat them into your understanding, " Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: relax yourself, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord 2 chronicles 20:17

Heavenly Father, I ask you on this day to open the spiritual eyes of the readers of this article. Let them see how you are at work in the midst of their seemingly endless cycle of misery. Cause them to understand that there are more on their side than those that are against them. I thank you and bless you in the name of your son Jesus Christ. Amen!

The secret place of the Most High

Every time I read psalm 91, I cannot help but understand the spiritual implication that it carries. Most folks when facing life challenges or difficulties they would normally refer to this particular passage of scripture for comfort or at least a re-assurance that God will assist them in whatever it is that there’re facing.

Today, I want us to carefully observe this very powerful Psalm and how its origin is that of a spiritual nature to bring about hope, comfort, a peace of mind and victory for the believe,  even while they’re experiencing the most trying time of their life. So for the sake of today’s teaching we will be dealing with verses one through nine of Psalms 91.

Now in the first verse of this chapter, it speaks of one dwelling or residing in the secret place of the Most High, and that they should abide under the shadow of the almighty. Firstly, we must ask, what is the secret place of the Most High? The word secret is defined as something or someone that is unknown. Secondly, if God is a spirit according to Matthew 4:24 then how does a spirit that is not physical gives a shadow?

Clearly, the writer is writing of things that relates to a spiritual order, and the help that he seeks must come from a source that is not familiar to his enemies or haters (The secret place). In verses two, King David, literally surrenders his will and recognizes God as his refuge and fortress, which I must concludeto be a requirement of dwelling in the secret place. Noisome pestilence, night terrors, pestilence and the Fowler are descriptions of evil forces that are behind the people and things that are opposing him. They are insurmountable and beyond his capability to fight naturally, however he’s convinced that God and God alone will deliver him from the traps laid by these relentless destructive forces.

Surprisingly, King David begins to give the appearance of the Most High as a winged creature with feathers(In my own mind I envison a bird covering her offspring from the dangers that lie outside) and under his wings will he trust and that his truth (God's word) will be his shield. In verses five and six the importance of being in this secret place becomes more obvious, because there is an ongoing battle against the believer. David explains that, while in this secret place one must not fear for the terror by night, or the arrows that flies by day, neither the pestilence that walks in the darkness nor the destruction that occurs at noon day, a relentless battle.

David again speaks to the origin of these things which are all spiritual that influences people and things to bring about the calamities, misfortune, death and the like that we witness daily in this world that we live in.

The carnage of this spiritual conflict is discovered in verse seven, “A thousand shall fall to my side, and ten thousand at thy right; but it shall not come nigh thee”. Now the reality is have any human being that you are aware of had a thousand enemies fall at their side and an additional ten thousand at their right? I am certain you haven’t so clearly he’s not speaking of people. Instead he’s speaking about demons and evil forces that oppose the believer, but in reviewing scripture, scripture asked the question, "How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the "LORD" had shut them up? Deut. 32:30. As you can see, God is the one fighting your battle, even thought your the one in the battle. Your victory is only due to his ever present invisible protective presence, whuch speaks so much of that secret place.

" Nevertheless, they cannot succeed and must fall once the believer is in the secret place of the Most High, God is now obligated to protect him continuously  . This is why scripture says, “no weapon formed against the secret place resident shall prosper, and he also has the authority to condemn any and all tongues spoken against him in judgment.  He’s protected by an unseen force greater than anything that is against him Isaiah 54:17. Again scripture reminds us and assures us that "greater is he that is in us(The Most High) than he (Satan and his forces) that is in the world" 1 John 4:4. Job also benefited from this protection when Satan said to God that Job is only serving you because you have a hedge around him, no one else could see this invisible hedge except those that are of the spiritual realm Job 1:10.

As additional evidence of you being in the secret place, verse eight and nine unequivocally states you will witness with your own eyes the reward of the wicked or those that have been influenced by these evil spirits King David spoke of earlier, additionally, because you’ve made God your refuge and even the Most High thy habitation your physical dwelling is guaranteed God's protection.

The overall understand of Psalms 91, is clearly a psalm of protection, the difference between this Psalm and any other Psalm is the believer’s habitation or residence is in the secret place, and that secret place is having a mind that envisions God as a place of refuge, comfort, protection and an overall sense of security with the sole purpose of giving victory in the midst of your difficulty.

At no point in Psalms 91 does it even give a hint of fear, worry, unbelief, doubt, frustration or fatigue to the residents of the secret place. My words of wisdom for today is, make an effort to position yourself in the secret place of the Most High. That process begins by reading the word of God and meditating on it consistently. As a reminder the word of God is spirit, John 6:63 and it is that spirit filled word that escorts you into the secret place which is also spiritual.

Heavenly Father, thank you once again for the secret place that you have made available for those who desire to enter. Your word says, “for he spoke in a certain place on the seventh day on this wise, and God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, if they shall enter into his rest. Seeing therefore there remain some who must enter there in” Hebrews 4:4-6. I pray that all who would read this article will find themselves in that secret place of rest, in spite of their challenges in the matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

He that finds a wife!

Wow! What a beautiful day to be alive! It's a pleasure to challenge our thinking once again. Today, I want to address the single ladies and share some godly wisdom with them. Scripture says, "He who FINDS a wife finds a good thing" (Proverbs 18:22). We often read this verse without realizing its deeper meaning.

"What was King Solomon implying when he said, "He that finds a wife?" Does he mean that one should look for someone who is already married? If that's the case, can we say that he's promoting adultery? The answer is no! In fact, what Solomon is saying through divine inspiration is quite simple. A man should seek a woman who possesses the traits of a good wife, such as a wifely character, behavior, attitude, and overall mindset."

Ladies, please don't come for me; hear me out for a moment. You cannot qualify for this wife position if your sole focus is to achieve marriage instead of being the true definition of a wife. Believe me when I say that a wife and a marriage are two separate conditions and positions. In fact, I will take it a step further; the actual institution of marriage must require the mindset of both parties to be aware that husband and wife should have been established mentally before physically declared by a pastor or marriage officer.

The marital union was designed for the couple involved to be reciprocal as it relates to catering to one another and working in harmony to achieve the goals of the marriage union. Unfortunately, with an anti-wife or even anti-husband mindset, the union becomes a liability from the beginning instead of an asset, as we'll discover.

Simply put, a woman should be a wife mentally first before legally becoming a wife through marriage. It is only then, according to scripture, that when she is sought and found by a man, she becomes a good thing. The word good means that which is beneficial.

In support of this revelation, God said In Genesis that it is not good that man should be alone. Not that the man being alone was a flaw in God's creation, but this aspect of his creation was incomplete (Eve now becomes necessary).

Interestingly, in the Bible, God did not say he would make a wife for Adam. Instead, he stated he would make him a helpmate. This description emphasizes the role and function of the "good thing" or benefit that is Adam's wife. A helpmate is someone who assists, supports, helps, encourages, and promotes her partner. She is someone who is compatible, proper, and well-suited to her partner. This is what a wife should be, mentally and emotionally.

In a marriage, the man is considered his wife's head and protector. However, this is only possible if both parties accept and respect this divine order. The man should seek guidance, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding from God to fulfill his role as the head of the household, as God is the architect of this union. The ultimate purpose of this union can only be achieved with unity and mutual support between the husband and wife. Any division between them will have negative consequences for their relationship. It is important to remember that a house divided against itself will inevitably fall.

The opposite or resistance to this order produces the Jezebel and Ahab spirit. Suggesting the wife taking on the head position (Jezebel spirit) and the husband being led by his wife (Ahab spirit). As a quick note, Jezebel cannot exist unless there is an Ahab; Ahab surrendered his authority to Jezebel, thus producing the following end result: confusion, frustration, anger, hate, unforgiveness, pride, jealousy, craftiness, manipulation, intimidation, illegal domination and eventually death.

"Will there be no conflict between these divine unions? Of course not. However, it is more likely that they will stay together rather than separate because the benefits of the relationship outweigh the differences they experience. Furthermore, applying God's principles regarding these unions ensures their success."

Ladies, my words of wisdom for you today are that you should prepare yourself mentally to be a wife before you decide to become one physically. As it is commonly known, our behavior is influenced by our thoughts. Therefore, it is essential to observe the qualities of a potential partner's behavior that make them suitable for marriage. This should be a guiding principle when considering a marriage partner."

Simple joys

The joy of life is simply this: appreciating what we don't have, but at the same time causing us to focus on what we do have. For there are those that wish they had what we have, but in our desire to want more we lose our ability to focus on what is more important, such as simply living!

God's  Blessings, can easily become overlooked when we murmur and complain about finances, jobs, family, friends and the list goes on, but what about those who wish they were as blessed as those of us who have a little money, friends, a family and most of all a piece of mind. Someone without legs wish they had legs, someone right now only wish they had $5.00 on their bank account or a car to experience the gas guage being on empty. Someone without hearing oh! so wish they had the ability to hear. The question could be asked, did these folks appreciate these things while they had the use of them? Our taking for granted of these seemingly insignificant amenities invokes an ungrateful attitude on our end when we discount the fact that there are others who only wish they had what we have........ in particular, THE GIFT OF LIFE!

Genuine living is enjoying what we presently have to work with, like a bank account with only a few dollars. A car that decides to work sometimes, the chance of having loved and lost, rather than never loving at all. Not to mention the more simple pleasures such as the sound of the ocean waves, airplanes being airborne, birds flying, gentle breeze whispering pass our ears. A couple holding hands, kids playing with absolutely no care at all as it relates to life challenges and difficulties (honestly! I wish I could be a kid again sometimes).

This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life (meaning: we must choose to live, living isn't automatic), so that you and your children may live Deut. 30:19.

The above scripture clearly indicates that life or living is not automatic, but an actual choice that one must conciously make. A person, place or thing is NOT the cause of us not living life to the fullest, it was our choice to cause whatever it is to be the source of our non-living or should we say unhappiness. Our ability to be sad, happy, curse or blessed is solely dependent on us. As a matter of fact, we became the co-conspiritor with one or more of what I've just mentioned that has provided our present end result. ONLY YOU CAN CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY OR SAD, IT IS A STATE OF MIND, IT IS YOUR CHOICE. Your are deceiving yourself if your conclusion for your present state is to blamed  someone or something. YOU ARE THE BEGINING AND THE END OF IT BECAUSE YOU'RE THE ONE MAKING THE DECISIONS ON ALLOW WHAT IS CAUSING YOUR HAPPINESS OR SADNESS.

Take note, we can become so use to being blessed, that we can unknowingly speak curses to that which God has blessed us with (such as a small bank acount, a car in spite of its challenges,  being under paid etc.) As a reminder these things are only temporary, and change is always on the horizon for some area of our life. Everyday that you exist is necessary for the change that will occur tomorrow.

GIVE THANKS IN ALL THINGS FOR THIS IS THE WILL OF GOD CONCERNING YOU IN CHRIST JESUS! 1Thessalonians 5:18.

Heavenly Father, once again thank you for the closed doors, disappointments, backstabbers, little money, a broken car and things just going bad. It is your sovereignty that makes us understand that even in these things we must also appreciate your purpose being  exercise  in what is seemingly grim that must produce good at the end for us. We bless you and ask these thing in the matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Provision has been made

Every parent prepares or secures in advance for the well being of their children. In fact it is considered a basic human response in terms of providing for that child well in advance of their needs.

In today’s teaching we will determine that it is the will of God that provision is made for his children. It is also his will that his children remain confident in him (his word) and wait patiently for him while time is advancing them to that provision. Isaiah said it best when he said, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall (not might) renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint” Isaiah 40:31.

Provision is characterized as furnishing, supplying, preparing, delivering or providing resources in advance or beforehand of its happening. Now, this understanding is interesting to note because it implies that whoever is making the provision must have some degree of intelligence as it relates to future events and simultaneously would have calculated the time, season, people, groups, environment and place as to how this provision will be executed precisely.

As far as God is concern all of our needs has been provided for already, even the ones that we’re not aware of as yet. As evidence of this the Apostle Paul made the following profound revelation, “Blessed be the God and Father of our lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ. According as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world.” Ephesians 1:3-4.

The above revelation written by the Apostle Paul, speaks to events and happenings prior to our existence, as a matter of fact before the foundation of the world. He’s clearly stating that God has made provision for his people with spiritual gifts, however these provision are calculated according to how he’s chosen us in him or according to his purpose as it relates to us. Before I endeavor to proceed further I need you to cement into your understanding THAT GOD HAS ALREADY MET YOU PENDING AND FUTURE NEEDS! (That court case, unpaid bills, foreclosure, trouble marriage, your debt and the like)

A perfect example of this mystery would be Abraham. As most of you would probably know, God had asked Abraham to kill his son Isaac, Abraham obeyed God and took the boy to be sacrificed. Isaac having no knowledge that he was the sacrifice, said to his father, “Behold I see fire and wood, but where is the lamb?” Genesis 22:7. Now, watch carefully Abraham’s response, “My son God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering”. Isn’t it interesting to note that even though God commanded Abraham to kill his son, in spite of the challenge he was still carrying out the command anyway and at the same time with confidence that God had provided in advance a lamb to replace his son?

The revelation here my dear readers is, you are not convinced that God has (past tense) furnished your needs in advance of your troubles, lack and the like. If you were convinced you would behave exactly like Abraham did, he continued doing what God asked him to do, without complaining and murmuring but at the same time persuaded that God had made a way out for him. As a matter of fact Abraham and Isaac had passed the provision which was the lamb stuck in the fence. Eventually Abraham was stopped by an angel when he was about to kill his son, and Abraham called the name of that place JEHOVAH- JIREH! Jehovah-jireh or Yahweh-yireh is defined as THE LORD WILL PROVIDE or "Jehovah will see it," or "Jehovah will provide," or "Jehovah will be seen." We are offered a variety of interpretations, but the exact idea is that of seeing and being seen. For God to see would be automatic for him to provide. As a reminder he knows the end from the beginning, he is the Alpha and Omega, he is Omniscient, meaning he’s all knowing.

Our God is not an improviser to improvise would be the opposite of provision. Provision is to provide or furnish in advance of events and circumstances. To improvise is to make up as one goes along suggesting they have no plan or knowledge as to what is about to happen. OUR GOD DOES NOT, AND I REPEAT, DOES NOT IMPROVISE, HE ALWAYS PROVIDES IN ADVANCE OF OUR CHALLENGES.

Your situation is not unique; your challenge is not the first of its kind. In fact your situation is proof that provision has (past tense) bin made. I am aware it is challenging, and not to mention frustrating, but know without a shadow of a doubt that time is advancing you to what God has already provided.

Your story and circumstances are about to change, and change in such a way that neither you nor your oppressors could have ever imagine. As of this day get yourself several pieces of paper and write on those papers the following words “I am on my way out because God has made provision for me” stick this up in your car, home, work place etc. You must be convinced like Abraham. Remember, Abraham kept doing what God had asked him to do in spite of the craziness of it. Which suggest we must continue paying our tithes, helping others, praying and seeking God. Overall doing what is right in spite of what is happening to us for the negative; because just like night follows day and Sunday follows Monday your days of adversity will follow your days of prosperity and change.

Job made it clear when he said, “All the days of my appointed time will I wait till my change come……..CHANGE MUST COME!

Heavenly Father my prayer is simple today, and that is thank you in advance for the provision you’ve made in advance for the readers of this article and myself, we come in agreement with our brother Job when he said he will wait till his change come, we ask this in the matchless name of your son Jesus Christ. Amen!
