Dreams That Reveal Spiritual Sickness

Have you had dreams where you were being injected?

What about dreams where you were drinking dirty water?

Have you dreamed of being bitten by a snake, dog, or cat?

What about eating in a dream?

Have you had dreams of strange-looking dolls with pins inserted in them?

What about a dream where you're vomiting blood, food, or other liquids?

Have you ever dreamed of being covered with a skin disease, such as boils, but in reality, you were healthy?

What about having dreams where you are at a cemetery or someone is burying something in a cemetery that belongs to you?

Have you had dreams where someone is bathing you in the sea, river, or dirty water?

What about dreams where incisions were made in your flesh?

Have you experienced dreams where you were missing a limb?

Have you had dreams where a dead relative or friend died from a particular sickness in reality, but they're attempting to interact or communicate with you in the dream?

Have you had dreams where you're eating rotten fruit?

Such dreams and many more like them clearly reveal a spirit of sickness and infirmity attempting to invade the dreamer's life spiritually, that, if not challenged with prayer and, in some cases, fasting, will manifest unexplained physical illnesses. Such dreams prey on the dreamer's ignorance by convincing them that their dream was merely a dream. Neglecting the spiritual fact that even though their physical body is at rest, their spirit man is wide awake, eating, drinking, and participating in spiritual things in the dream that's working against them.

I once met a man who told me he had been bitten by a giant black snake in a dream. Since then, he has experienced frequent, unexplained illnesses and hospital visits. He did not realize that the snake in his dream spiritually attacked him, which eventually affected his physical health. Because he was unaware of the spiritual aspect, he never canceled or rebuked the dream, preventing the spiritual attack from manifesting physically. This is a clear example of Hosea 4:6: "My people are destroyed because they lack knowledge." Such cases demonstrate how ignorance of spiritual matters can lead to tangible consequences.

This gentleman, unfortunately, spent many years and money visiting doctors and false prophets who didn’t tell him the truth. In fact, he admitted that the remedies offered actually worsened his situation. He also shared that his frustration grew increasingly overwhelming.

Luke 16:19-31 tells the story of an unnamed rich man and a beggar named Lazarus. The beginning of the story references their physical lives, but verses 22-31 describe their continued existence after death, even though verse 22 explicitly states they both died and were buried. Interestingly, they seem to retain their five senses in the afterlife, especially the rich man, who could taste, see, feel, and hear.

As a reminder, these individuals are physically deceased; however, their spirits seem to continue to exist in a spiritual state in the spirit world. It is this very spirit that governs our human bodies. Therefore, whatever happens in our spiritual lives while we are alive will inevitably affect our physical bodies. This highlights the importance of taking our dreams seriously, especially when we encounter the examples I described earlier in our dreams.

Let's examine this more closely. In 1 Corinthians 15:40, the Apostle Paul mentions both a celestial body and an earthly body. He explains that a human body is buried or sown as a natural body, but will be raised as a spiritual one. He further describes that there is a distinction between a natural body and a spiritual body, as stated in 1 Corinthians 15:44. Those who understand spiritual matters know they can influence a person's destiny by engaging from the spirit realm. Whatever is spiritually done to someone will manifest in their daily life unless there is resistance to the spiritual planting.

Balak, the king of the Moabites, clearly understood this spiritual truth. He realized that neither his army nor the nation of Israel was a match for the other. In fact, he was told that the children of Israel had defeated Sihon, king of the Amorites, and their armies, along with Og, king of Bashan, and his armies. So Balak knew that to have a chance at defeating the children of Israel, he would have to launch his initial attack from a spiritual perspective by placing a curse on the nation of Israel. By so doing, they would be disabled physically. Witchcraft spiritually puts the human spirit in bondage, thus setting limitations on the victim. Of course, the victim believes that he's in control when the truth is he's being influenced and controlled by evil spirits assigned to him that have programmed him for defeat, failure, death, sickness, etc.

Scripture recounts that King Balak summoned the prophet Balaam to pronounce a curse upon Israel: "Come now, curse these people for me, since they are too powerful for me. Maybe I can defeat them and drive them from the land, for I know that whoever you bless is blessed, and whoever you curse is cursed" Numbers 22:6. It also states, "the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with their divination fees in hand, approached Balaam, and delivered Balak's message" Numbers 22:7. In summary, King Balak calls upon Balaam to curse Israel, aiming to weaken them spiritually. His motivation includes offering Balaam a reward for his divination services.

This passage of Scripture shows that when people cannot defeat you physically, they may turn to witchcraft workers or sorcerers to overpower you spiritually and thus overcome you physically. However, God does not want us to be unaware of the enemy's schemes. That's why our dreams, which act as spiritual monitors, always reveal what is happening in the spiritual realm. This allows us to cancel and rebuke those things in the spiritual world so they do not manifest in the natural world.

You're probably saying, "Hey, but I am no prophet." Well, let's see what Scripture says about that. As a reminder, God promised that he would allow nothing on the earth unless he reveals the secrets or, should we say, a mystery to his servants, the prophets first, Amos 3:7. "And the LORD said to them, "Now listen to what I say: "If there are prophets among you, I, the LORD, would reveal myself in visions. I would speak to them in dreams." Numbers 12:6. So, are you a dreamer? Do you have visions? Well, according to Scripture, you are indeed a prophet. Therefore, you should be in a state of expectancy regarding what God will reveal to you via your dreams concerning you and even others.

Please! I can not emphasize enough that your dreams are real. The reality of your dreams takes you into the spiritual world, revealing what you would never know under normal circumstances. What you decide to do after the dream will determine your destiny.
