Lord Help To Help Myself By forgiving others

For God to intervene in your affairs like you've been asking him to, you must release those you find difficult to forgive.

Unforgiveness is one of the most stubborn sins Christians are challenged with. Amazingly many Christian beg God to forgive them of their sins. They also ask God to institute justice where injustice was done to them by others. Praying hypocritically is easy because Christians believe God looks at our outward performances. We totally forget that He's constantly observing our hearts.

Some may say, "Well, Kevin, I have no malice, bitterness, or unforgiveness towards those folks." This may be true according to you, but why is it that whenever that person/s name comes up in any conversation, you automatically become upset or hostile? You see, my friend, you must clear "YOU" if it is your desire for God to work for you! It is that simple.

Let's see what scripture has to say in support of this understanding, "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me" Psalm 66:18. "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear" Isaiah 59:2.

My friend, I don't know about you, but I need God to hear me and work for me, and scripture has made it abundantly clear that that CAN NOT happen if I have it in for those who have dealt with me unjustly.

Lord, we ask you to help us remove the stubborn stains of unforgiveness, bitterness, disappointment, and whatever else from our hearts that's causing you to turn a deaf ear to our request. Father, from a human perspective, it is difficult not to mention or frequently speak of the hurt and pain that others have inflicted on us, but your word assures us that all things are possible with you. Father, we are asking you to wash away the hurt, pain, and whatever else that's hindering your response to us; help us "CLEAR US" of the evil we are retaining in our hearts for others so that you can now work on our behalf in the name of your son and our savior Jesus Christ. Amen!
