A Daily Prayer for Discernment, Protection, Deliverance, and Favor

Prayer for Spiritual Discernment

Father, please strengthen my ability to discern today. Allow me to see beyond the limitations of my five physical senses. Reveal to me every trap, lie, deception, conspiracy, hidden agenda, or anything else Satan and his agents may have plotted against me.

Father, I pray that the Spirit of Truth, Your Holy Spirit, will guide me into all truth, today and in the days to come (John 16:13). Give me spiritual sensitivity to recognize what is from You and what is not from You. Expose anything hidden that could negatively affect my life, my family, or the destiny You have ordained for us.

Prayer of Repentance and Cleansing

Holy Spirit, convict me of anything evil, sinful, or displeasing to God that may be lying dormant within my heart. Search me, O God, and reveal anything within me that needs correction.

Lord, I sincerely repent for every occasion when I have violated Your laws, rules, commands, or principles. I confess my sins and ask You to forgive and cleanse me so that there will be no spiritual barrier between You and me.

Your Word declares:

“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”

Proverbs 28:13

Father, I desire Your definition of success and prosperity for myself and my family, knowing that true success comes through walking according to Your Word and obeying Your principles.

Putting on the Armor of God

Father, I now spiritually clothe myself and my family with the whole armor of God, so that we may be able to stand against the schemes, strategies, and deceitful tactics of the enemy.

Your Word commands us:

“Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” 

Ephesians 6:11

I cover myself and my family with the truth of Your Word. I put on the breastplate of righteousness, the preparation of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and I take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

Prayer for Angelic Protection

Father, I pray that Your angels will surround my family and me and deliver us according to Your promise:

“The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.”

Psalm 34:7

Let Your divine protection surround our homes, vehicles, workplaces, journeys, plans, and everything concerning us.

Protect us from dangers we can see and those we cannot.

Declarations Against Evil Plans

In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that every evil plan assigned against my family and me shall fail.

I pray that every impending report of evil designed by the enemy to bring destruction into our lives will be interrupted and overturned by the power of God.

I renounce and reject every ungodly covenant, agreement, transaction, or spiritual exchange that may have been presented or established through dreams. Let every covenant that is contrary to the will of God for my life be broken and rendered powerless in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

I also reject every corrupt, destructive, or ungodly word spoken from my own mouth or from the mouths of others against me and my family.

According to Isaiah 54:17:

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.”

Therefore, I condemn every word, declaration, accusation, curse, and evil pronouncement that stands contrary to what God has spoken concerning my life.

Declarations of Life, Health, and Provision

I declare that life, health, strength, and divine preservation shall be the portion of my family and me today.

I decree that no good thing ordained by God shall be withheld from us, according to Psalm 84:11:

“No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”

Father, I align myself with Your Word in Psalm 138:8:

“The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me.”

Therefore, I declare that You are perfecting everything that concerns my life, my family, my health, my ministry, my finances, my relationships, and my God-ordained destiny.

 Father, I pray that sickness and disease will not prevail against my family or me. Strengthen our bodies and preserve our health in the name of Jesus Christ.

I speak against every spirit of jealousy, hatred, deceit, anger, unforgiveness, manipulation, pride, and every other evil influence attempting to motivate people to work against my family or me.

Father, confuse and dismantle every ungodly strategy operating through such influences. Let every evil plan be frustrated and disgraced by the power of the living God, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Restoration of Missed Opportunities

Father, I declare restoration over every legitimate opportunity that was missed, delayed, obstructed, manipulated, or somehow removed from my reach.

Where the enemy has interfered with something You intended for me, I ask You to restore it according to Your perfect will.

Let opportunities that belong to my God-ordained destiny find their way back into my life. Open doors that no man can shut, and close every door that was never ordained by You.

Breaking Rejection, Failure, and Delay

Father, where rejection has influenced people who were positioned to help, favor, support, or bless me, I ask You to remove every ungodly influence responsible for that rejection.

Let every plan of darkness designed to produce unnecessary rejection be destroyed in the name of Jesus Christ.

Lord, Your Word declares that my strength comes from You. Therefore, by Your Spirit, I ask You to deliver me and everything concerning me from the tormenting influences of:

* Failure

* Defeat

* Procrastination

* Weariness

* Unnecessary delays

* Setbacks

* Discouragement

* Distraction

* Confusion

* Every other opposition attempting to challenge my God-intended destiny

Father, strengthen me to accomplish everything You have assigned me to accomplish.

As Your Word declares:

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”

Zechariah 4:6

I therefore depend upon Your Spirit and not merely upon my own strength.

Covenant of Peace

Finally, Heavenly Father, today I choose to walk in agreement with Your peace.

I embrace Your Word:

“Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.”

Psalm 119:165

Father, bind my heart, mind, emotions, and faith to Your Word.

Your Word also declares:

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

Isaiah 26:3

Therefore, I choose to keep my mind steadfast upon You.

I receive Your supernatural peace, the peace that circumstances cannot manufacture and the enemy cannot take away.

According to Philippians 4:7:

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Let Your peace guard my heart and mind throughout this day.

Declaration of Blessing and Favor

Father, Your Word declares:

“For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield.”

Psalm 5:12

Therefore, I receive Your blessings and embrace Your favor.

Let Your favor surround my family and me like a shield.

Go before us today. Direct our steps. Order our conversations. Govern our decisions. Connect us with the right people and separate us from every relationship, environment, opportunity, or situation that is contrary to Your will.

Give us wisdom where wisdom is needed, discernment where discernment is required, courage where courage is necessary, and peace in every circumstance.

Father, I commit this day, my family, my future, and everything concerning me into Your hands.

I declare that Your will shall prevail, Your purpose shall stand, and Your Word shall have the final authority over my life.

I receive these things by faith, in the matchless name of Your Son and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Spirit of Confusion Must Go In Jesus Name!

A MORNING PRAYER AGAINST CONFUSION

Heavenly Father, I come to you this morning in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, on behalf of every person struggling with confusion. Some have faced this difficulty for a while. They feel overwhelmed by decisions, troubled by conflicting advice, and uncertain about their next step. Father, meet them in their distress and help them bring their concerns before you.

Your Word declares in 1 Corinthians 14:33, “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.” Lord, as Paul instructed the church concerning order and peace, help us honor these same qualities in our thoughts, conversations, relationships, and decisions. Where disorder has disrupted our lives, give us wisdom to recognize its causes and respond according to your Word.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I stand against every spiritual influence seeking to promote confusion, deception, and division. Father, expose every lie opposing your truth. Strengthen those who feel worn down, and help them resist whatever draws their attention away from your instructions.

Lord, James 3:16 teaches us, “For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.” Search our hearts this morning. Where envy, selfish ambition, resentment, or strife has taken root, bring us to repentance. Help us recognize when our attitudes contribute to the disorder we ask you to remove.

Father, forgive us for comparing our lives with others, entertaining jealousy, and continuing arguments which produce division. Give us the humility to receive correction and the discipline to change our conduct. We surrender these attitudes to you and ask you to remove their influence from our decisions.

Your Word describes the wisdom from above as pure, peaceable, gentle, open to reason, and full of mercy and good fruits in James 3:17. Let this wisdom govern our responses. Teach us to listen carefully, speak truthfully, and pursue peace without compromising what is right.

Father, I ask for your protection over every reader and everyone joining this prayer. Through the blood of Jesus Christ, we approach you with confidence in His finished work. Help us put on the whole armor of God described in Ephesians 6:10–18. Establish us in truth, righteousness, faith, and the assurance of salvation. Prepare us to pursue peace and remain faithful in prayer.

For the person who does not know where to go, whom to speak with, or what to do next, provide direction. Help them identify the decision immediately before them without becoming overwhelmed by every possible outcome. Lead them toward trustworthy counsel and give them patience to examine advice before acting.

Lord, where deception has influenced their thinking, establish truth. Where fear has delayed necessary action, give courage. Where exhaustion has affected their concentration, provide rest and support. Help them recognize what needs prayer, what needs correction, and what needs practical attention.

We resist the spirit of confusion in the name of Jesus Christ. Every influence seeking to draw us into deception, envy, strife, or disobedience must give way to the authority of our Lord. Father, keep us grounded in your Word as we submit ourselves to you and resist the devil, according to James 4:7.

Fill our minds with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Renew our hope and restore our willingness to fulfill our responsibilities. Holy Spirit, guide us into truth and help us recognize thoughts and advice that conflict with Scripture.

Your Word invites us to ask for wisdom in James 1:5. We ask this morning with humility. We do not know everything, and our understanding is limited. Teach us what we need to know and help us apply the instruction we already have.

Father, guard our minds from continual worry. Philippians 4:6–7 directs us to bring our requests before you with thanksgiving and speaks of your peace guarding our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Help us practice this instruction. As concerns arise, teach us to pray about them, give thanks for your faithfulness, and attend to the responsibilities within our reach.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.

My friends, confusion deserves a careful response. When your thoughts feel unsettled, you might feel pressure to decide immediately just to escape the discomfort. Slow down long enough to examine what you are facing. Ask yourself what you know, what you still need to understand, and whether fear or conflicting advice is influencing your judgment.

Scripture identifies envy and strife as sources of disorder, but this does not mean every experience of uncertainty proves the presence of an oppressive spirit. Fatigue, grief, stress, and incomplete information also affect concentration and decision-making. Examine your circumstances honestly while continuing to seek God.

God has given us His Word to instruct, correct, and strengthen us. Ephesians 6:17 describes the Word of God as the Spirit's sword. Use Scripture with understanding. Read the passage, consider its meaning, and allow its truth to govern your response.

If envy has disturbed your peace, repent and stop feeding comparison. If strife has consumed your attention, examine your part in the conflict and pursue a truthful, peaceful response. If you lack information, ask questions. If you are exhausted, attend to your need for rest. Spiritual discipline includes responding wisely to the circumstances before you.

When uncertainty returns, bring your thoughts back to what Scripture teaches. Pray, “Father, you invite me to ask for wisdom. Help me understand this situation and respond in obedience to you.” Then take the next responsible step. You do not need every answer before obeying an instruction you already understand.

Agreeing with God’s Word involves both your confession and your conduct. Let your prayers lead you toward repentance, sound judgment, and faithful action. Continue seeking the Lord, receive wise counsel, and give yourself time to understand what requires careful consideration.

IF THIS PRAYER SPEAKS TO YOUR SITUATION, JOIN ME IN SEEKING GOD’S WISDOM THIS MORNING.

Father, establish your truth in our minds and your peace in our hearts. Help us reject deception, turn away from strife, and follow your instructions. Direct our decisions as we place our trust in you, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Include the word of God in your prayers if you want things to change

The best thing anyone can do for you or even you can do for yourself is to pray for you. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting with many folks to discuss spiritual things particularly dreams. What I find to be most interesting is that when I say to them, that they must pray specifically against what we have discovered to be the root of their problem, they in turn would say, "I don't know how to pray".

Well, what they mean is, they don't know how to pray lengthy loud prayers. Well my friend if you have this same issue, then let me properly educate you concerning prayer. God is more concern about the contents of your prayers rather than the length or volume of your prayers. Some folks believe that 2-3 hour prayers is the model for praying. However, if you were to zoom in on what it is that they are praying about, I can assure you they're probably repeating the same thing over and over again, with the center piece of their prayer being a grocery list of what they want God to do for them.

Many of you that I have counsel with will know that I insist on discovering the root of your physical matter from a spiritual perspective and once discovered, I insist that we search the scriptures in an effort to retrieve scriptures that are relevant to your situation and begin to pray those scriptures against the spiritual root of your physical matter. For example, if your child is rebellious then we use scripture against the spirit of rebellion in that child, but never praying against the child because the child is just a puppet to the spirit of rebellion. The word of God which is spirit is the only weapon against spirits, if one desires to eliminate their problem from its root and the root will always be spiritual.

The bottom line is this, when it comes to prayers, we will achieve more success in what we are praying for or even against when we discover its roots. Secondly, we must always pray the word of God in regards to whatever it is we are praying for or against. By doing this we will spend more time targeting and dismantling specific areas in prayer and destroying strongholds in the realm of the spirit that will result in positive physical manifestation as opposed to praying for hours saying the same thing over and over again with absolutely no word involved. Pray the word of God if you desire change as a result of your prayers!!!!!

There is an urgent need for Intercessors

When we finally realize that our real battles takes place in the unseen world (the spirit world), the less efforts we will invest in challenging or engaging folks in our natural world.

Whether we agree with the above statement or not, this understanding is the core understanding and basis of scripture. All throughout scripture it is revealed covertly and overtly the interaction of spiritual forces such as God, Satan, Angels, Demons etc. assisting human beings in their earthly affairs via the request of humans of course.

Therefore, the lack of intercessory prayer, prayer worriers, fasting and praying for any country, nation, Island, organization, community, family etc. will only increase the evil activity over that particular area or group. The reason for this is, the human agents of evil are daily engaging evil spirits from the spirit realm to assist them in pushing their evil agenda in the earth. The scripture says to us, "For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof" Proverbs 28:2. In other words, the frequency of evil in a land will determine the demonic princes ruling over that particular land. As a reminder, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood. Instead our real fight is always against spirits that influences flesh and blood, Ephesians 6:12. unfortunately, these spirits are not only influencing the common man but more importantly our law makers and religious leaders, to put aside the laws of God which establishes righteousness and order and substitute them with the laws of men that will ultimately result in chaos. The scriptures clearly states that there are many ideas in the hearts of men but only the counsel of God or that which he has determine from the beginning will prevail, Proverbs 19:21

On the other hand, the scriptures also says, "By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, But by the mouth of the wicked it is torn down" Proverbs 11:11. So in both cases, the agents of Satan and the people of God are engaging the spirit world to either bring blessings or curses to a nation, country, community or family by the evil or Godly declarations that they're declaring on a daily basis through, prayer, fasting, etc. This now explains why in certain countries prayers are being ban in schools or folks that profess Christianity are limited in their freedom of speech while other are free to say and do whatever they desire and it's okay. The reality is, this is a spiritual war where the true genuine believers of Jesus Christ, must look beyond his or her political persuasions or misguided religious leaders and always DEMAND THE WORD OF GOD AS THEIR FINAL AUTHORITY, in spite of how unpopular it may be to others that are seeking their own evil agenda. I promise you, when you decide to stick to the commandments of God even those that claim to be on your side will begin to challenge you, but always remember the laws of God are there to protect those that participate in them in spite of the persecution that comes along with it. Those that resist you for standing on what the laws of God says are challenging God and not you, so it is God that they will have to answer to and not you!

Unfortunately, the people of God seems to have dropped the ball in this most vital area of spiritual warfare. They either do not know or have dismissed the understanding that while they are silent (in prayer, fasting, intercessory and making declarations of God's words against the forces of evil) the agents of evil are relentlessly persuading, influencing and coercing Governments, the Judiciary systems, law makers, our churches and of course at the core of it all our families to pollute, amend, discard, or completely ignore anything to do with God's laws for mankind. All in a well-crafted effort to implement the counsel of evil in the earth. In my humble opinion the greatest travesty is all of this is the fact that there are some religious leaders who have decided to take the way of (Baalam) by protesting against the laws of God and the people of God in an effort to side and satisfy the laws and limited vision and thinking of men. The intent of the laws of God will always be to protect us from long and short term devastation and annihilation. While man's law may give the appearance of doing what's right on the surfce, our future generations will pay dearly for what will satisfy a limited few at that time.

Nevertheless, the scriptures are crystal clear in the following statement, "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people". Simply put, shame and disgrace will always be the end result of any people and by extension any nation that alters, amend, change or pollute the laws and ordinances of God almighty. The reality is they are altering the spiritual ordinances that was put in place by God to protect us and they're now actually giving the forces of evil the advantage to successfully work against us. As a side note, every king of the children of Israel that turned aside from the ordinance and laws of God gave rise to their enemies to become masters over them in their own land. Of course it never appeared that way at the time when their law makers decided to change the laws of God. Nevertheless, the long term negative implications that manifested from their actions took a toll on their nation.

I encourage all intercessors, prayer worriers and those that are committed to prayer and fasting to put your best efforts forward in seeking the face and heart of God to intervene in our earthly affairs to dismantle, discourage and to overthrow the subtle devices of our adversary along with his human agents and to see to it that their diabolical counsel fall to the ground and never manifest in the earth! Make no mistake, any law that attempts to supersede the laws of God is a law crafted by the kingdom of darkness to be executed by men to ultimately secure chaos and destruction to whomever that law is being levied upon.

Put on your spiritual armor prior to going to sleep

It is of vital importance that before going to bed, you must cover yourself with the whole armor of God according to Ephesians. 6:11, 13. Then you must ask God to expose every hidden agenda of the enemy in your dreams, again, before bedtime. Begin making your verbal declarations that you refuse to come to any agreement with any covert or overt evil covenant and that you will rely solely on the aid of the Holy Spirit throughout the course of your dreams, particularly in the area of exposing masquerading spirits.

Finally, ask God to reveal to you via the spirit realm through the portal of your dreams, every enemy, and device of evil pending and currently against you along with his instructions for you to overcome the enemy in the spirit so that his plans will be canceled in the natural.

Now, thank God for the victory that you believe you already have by faith in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

The God that answers by fire

It is my prayer for someone today, that the all knowing God will without warning expose every
secret enemy that has been nestled in your life.

It is also my genuine prayer that God will remove the lens of deception that has been placed on you so that you can now see that enemy for who they really are and how they've been undermining and manipulating your efforts.

Father, in the name of your only begotten son Jesus the Christ we ask you to execute sudden exposure to the subtle enemies in our lives and to also bring an end to their wicked devices. Lord! Your word says that you are the God that answers by fire, 1 Kings 18:24. Therefore, we ask you to respond by fire to those relentless enemies that insist on executing their evil counsel of continued manipulations, deceit and planting of evil seeds. Lord we pray that you would unpollute the minds of those that they have polluted to turn against us and to allow these folks to see these evil people for who they really are.

 Father our faith is your word that says, "Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth" Psalm 37:7-9.

Lord! We stand, believing and decreeing your word that you insist can not return unto you void but it must accomplish what you've said in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Effective prayer!

The application of knowledge is indeed power! The Bible is saturated with the knowledge and understanding of what controls of our natural. Based on the Biblical evidence presented. Our natural worlds events are orchestrated and control from the unseen world, which is also known as the spirit world.

Therefore, whatever happens, or is manifested in our visible world it will always be as a result of what has been initiated or conceived in the invisible world, again, also knows as the spirit world or the spirit realm.

The purpose of prayer, therefore, is to seek the assistance of God (who is a spirit) to challenge, change, resist, alter, or amend from the realm of the spirit, in order to change or amend our physical situations.

This is the error that the majority of Believers make when engaging in prayer. Meaning, their prayers would usually be geared or centered around what is visibly seen, such as a person dying from cancer, an unfair work environment, an unreliable car, etc.

Effective prayer is to challenge the spiritual forces that are pulling the strings or should we say influencing what is visible to us such as cancer, your car constantly breaking down, etc. I know I am repetitive in all of this but I must say it again, and that is, whatever it is that we are challenged with physically or that which is visible, it is only the physical tentacles of the spiritual root behind it, which we can not see of course.

So, whatever it is that is challenging you physically, then you must seek the spiritual assistance of God by searching the scriptures to find scriptures that are relevant to your matter and begin to include these same scriptures in your prayer against the "SPIRITS" that are influencing the people, places, and things that are relentless in attacking you.

The word of God is spirit according to John 6:63, therefore it is the word of God which is spirit that will resist the evil spirits that have launched an all-out attack on you. For example, you have been praying to God to heal Mary of cancer, but have you ever prayed the following, "Lord I come against the spirit of infirmity which includes cancer that is oppressing Mary, Father I speak and declare your word that says because of your stripes she is healed, Isaiah 53: 5 Peter 2:24?".

As you can see prayer is to strategically discover the spiritual influence, source or root behind our real-life situations and aggressively attack those spirits with the word of God which is also identified as the sword of the spirit realm.

Effective Prayers.

 Our prayer's quality depends on how much of God’s word is inclusive in our prayer. We are commanded to always pray, Luke 18:1. Why! Because spiritual battles are consistent and never-ending, we believe that if things are good, the invisible war (spiritual war) is done. No, my friend, this thinking can be deadly and, at best misleading.

Our weapons become even more powerful when we pray the scriptures. Scripture says, "The word of God is quicker, powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing and dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" Heb. 4:12.  Now you tell me what earthly weapon can do such a thing?

Usually, when I pray, I imagine while I am praying the word as a sword being wield and inflicting damage in the world that we cannot see but very much exist. No wonder why God said to remind him of his word. Not that he had forgotten his word, but that we must use it to cause more damage in the spirit world. So even though we’re praying words, those words become weapons.

Let us look at another scripture, James 5:13-15. Isn’t it interesting when James said that if any of you are afflicted, let him pray James 5:13? However, in James 5:15, he not only speaks of prayer but the prayer of FAITH!

As a reminder, God said that it is impossible to please him without faith, Hebrews 11:6, so clearly faith is necessary as it relates to our prayers, but what is faith? Well, guess what? Faith is God’s word. Scripture tells us that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God, Romans 10:17. So if faith comes by hearing and what one is hearing must be the word of God, then it is clear that faith is the word of God.

I beg you on this beautiful morning, read the scriptures frequently so that you would have no problem retrieving the word when it is time to pray. I have found it to be most effective. In praying the word, you are literally coming in agreement with God's word, and according to scripture (Hebrews. 11:6), this is what pleases him.
