Upholding The Verdict of The Cross of Jesus Christ

"Our ancestors have sinned, but now they are dead, but we, the current generations, are left to bear their iniquities" Lamentations 5:7. Many families are affected by generational curses due to the secrets and practices of their ancestors, such as involvement in witchcraft. This lack of such knowledge can lead to hardships and difficulties for the current and future generations. Regardless of your religious beliefs, it is essential to address and break these evil covenants to overcome the effects of the generational curse. Acknowledging and breaking any harmful covenants is vital, even after receiving salvation as Christians. Some may mistakenly believe that salvation automatically releases them from any underlying curses, but this isn't always the case. It's essential to recognize these covenants and actively work towards breaking them to lead a life unencumbered by their negative impacts. Well, because of the cross of Jesus Christ, this can only be done through the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ's crucifixion gives us the wonderful opportunity to be free from the curses that might have once held us back. Now, it's our chance to actively embrace and apply the amazing grace that comes from the cross, especially when we encounter those still struggling under any curses. Take sickness, for instance—it's undeniably a curse. So, it's essential to ask: why, when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, didn't you find immediate deliverance from the curse of cancer? After all, Christ took on the burdens of all curses meant for you through His crucifixion, allowing us to experience true freedom. Well, it didn't just walk away because the part that we play is to enforce what Jesus did by breaking the curse, "IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST." Jesus Christ has now enabled us through him to break curses. Thus, we uphold the verdict of the cross of Jesus Christ through this example. "Father, in the name of your son Jesus Christ, who has become a curse for me based on the events that resulted from his crucifixion. I exercise that authority by breaking the curse of cancer by enforcing the verdict of the cross that clearly says, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed." Isaiah 53:5. Don't allow others to convince you that you do not have to break a curse because Christ has already broken it for you. You know just as well as I do that curses are still operating in your life, even though you have accepted the gift of salvation. It is all because you're not enforcing the verdict of the cross. For example, Jesus said, "Whatever you ask in my name, I will do so that the Father may be glorified, John 14:13-14. So, why does Jesus advise us to have things done or requested in his name, if what was done on the cross was a once-and-for-all matter, inclusive of all curses being broken? Shouldn't the curses and everything that has challenged just walk away from us? As I've mentioned, you execute the ruling of the cross through the word of God, made possible by Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for you, giving us the authority through His name to break curses and anything else that challenges us. What Jesus Christ has ultimately done on the cross, in a nutshell, is to enable us to fight smarter, not harder, through the name that is above all names, who is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Self imposed curses

A self-imposed curse is where one speaks evil or negativity to their own demise. In reality statements such as "I am so broke", "Things never work out for me", "I am sick and tired" etc. are curses being brought on by oneself.

A self-imposed curse does two things, and they are:

1. Place the individual in a spiritual cage, meaning, they can see freedom and opportunities but they cannot participate in them.

2. It holds you back from arriving at your divine appointments. Meaning you've spoken against the will and purposes of God for your life. Such as, "They always pass me when it's promotion time" "Look like only things happen for the white man".

As you can see it was your own words against yourself that has placed you in the backward, delayed position you've found yourself in. Opportunities has fled you as a result of the power of your words against yourself.

Let's look at the spiritual laws that governs this common behavior:

"A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth" Proverbs 13:2

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof" Proverbs 18:21

"Thou art snared (trapped) with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken (held captive) with the words of thy mouth" Proverbs 6:2.

My people are foolishly being destroyed because they insist on avoiding and rejecting available knowledge, Hosea 4:6
