Thanking God For Our Set Times Of Favor

"Thou shalt arise and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favor her, yea, the set time, is come" Psalm 102:13

I have mentioned in any number of my writings that a mystery can only be unlocked by revelation. A mystery is something hidden, kept secret, or covered. On the other hand, a revelation is exposure or uncovering something once hidden or kept secret.

The above passage of scripture indirectly speaks to the enormous number of believers who are frustrated and confused about when God will send some relief and deliverance for his people. For example, many are contemplating if they would skip this semester of schooling due to the lack of funds, even though they have been praying and praying and praying. Then some have been afflicted in their bodies, finances,  marriages, etc., for years with no sign of relief, only the same old, same old day after day oppression.

Interestingly enough, the above scripture reveals that God will arise and have mercy on his people (Zion). However, here is where it gets even more interesting. The scripture says that the "SET TIME" to favor the people of God has come. The term "set time" speaks to a specific time or period that God has set aside well in advance to help, assist, deliver or bring relief to his people. The frustration for the believer, of course, is that they do not know when this set time is or, in other cases, didn't even know that it existed.

In essence, God did not and has not forgotten you despite how things may appear. The reality is, God's timing is not our timing. As a reminder, God has had everything in place well in advance of our troubles. Yes, I am fully aware that everyone seems to be getting ahead except you. But you must cement in the crevices of your mind that there is indeed a "SET TIME" where you'll one day experience quite the opposite of what you're negatively dealing with now.

Why not take this opportunity right now in prayer, asking God to restore you in the area of patience so that you'll not give up before the arrival of your "SET TIMES" secondly, you must be convinced that there is indeed a time set for you to prosper, advance, to be healed, delivered, and set free. Set times bring to an end the cycles of defeat, emotional pain, failure, and the like. Satan's job is to frustrate you to the point of causing you to abandon the journey that's leading you to your set time. The path of one's set times is always littered with discouragement, disappointment, delay, frustration, and confusion. Again, all in a calculated effort to derail you from your encounter with your set times.

"Father, help me to recognize and discern the set times you have ordained for me before the foundation of the world. Lord, I am in desperate need of patience because it feels and seems as if my set times are so far away from me. Lord, assist me in not speaking and declaring negative things that are in opposition to my set times but instead thanking you in advance for those appointed times that you've prearranged just for me, in the mighty name of your son Jesus Christ. Amen!

You'll see that it's all about timing

I can think of any number of people that are filled with many talents and gifts. In fact I personally know of folks that have a far better voice than a Michael Jackson, better preaching skills than a Bishop T.D Jakes or they're a better businessmen than a Donald Trump.

 So, what is it that makes these folks different from the above mentioned names? Well my friend to your surprise the difference is simply timing! You see my friend, the recognition, value and potential profit of your talents, gifts and abilities is solely dependent on the right time in spite of how talented or gifted you maybe!

 This may seem crazy to the average person, but our bibles makes this understanding abundantly clear. Scripture reminds us of the following, " To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" Ecclesiastes 3:1. This is such a powerful scripture and by extension a challenging spiritual law. In that, it's making clear to the reader that everything that will ever take place in one's life there is a specific season and time assigned to its function or performance simply because it's pregnant with purpose. In other words what you have for the most part in terms of your gifts or talent, is to benefit others rather than yourself. The reality is you're just a conduit or deliverer if you may. If you find yourself being anxious and more concern about what your talents and gifts will do for you instead of its purpose for others. Then it becomes easier to miss or misinterpret your seasons and times or at best pollute its purpose if you do manage to achieve your season and times. I promise you, your gifts and talents once shared or ministered to others will automatically benefit you or reward you. Gifts and talents released in the right season, advances and positions the possessor of those gifts and talent in areas and with folks that really could not have happen any other way.

 To take it a step further, a season, is understood to mean an assigned appointment and the understanding of time is the tenure allowed for that particular season or appointment. For example, let say you have a talent for singing, well according to the law of time and season in Ecclesiastes 3:1 you talents and gifts guarantees you a season or appointment for its recognition and a certain amount of time for its purpose to be accomplish.

 So the reality is, you should not be on a quest looking to some place or person to sow a financial seed to, so that God will cause someone to recognize your talent. Instead your request to God should be, "Lord please equip me with the ability to discern or recognize when its my season and time to display the gifts and talents you've given me because according to your law I am guaranteed the season and time for the talents and gifts you gave me in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

As a quick reminder our gifts and talents are to benefit others, ultimately with God receiving all the glory. However, once performed at the right time and season the spiritual law dictates that these gifts and talents will expand the borders of the possessor of those gifts and talents while advancing them before great men, Proverbs 18:16.

 I will end with this! Seasons and times are guaranteed for all the gifts and talents distributed to mankind by God. However, there is no guarantee that we'll all meet those seasons and times. The number one reason for folks missing their assigned seasons and times to display their gift that God had promised will make room for them, will primarily be due to connecting with the wrong, people, places and things. These my friend are the agents of delay and missed opportunities!

Managing your God given times and season

Time is advancing you to what you have been praying for. Please do not allow your created pressure, anxiety, and impatience to cause you to judge God foolishly!

As a reminder, every purpose is governed by times and seasons, Eccl. 3:1. Therefore, it will make no difference how many times we ask God for a particular thing or how loud we scream for it in prayer. The law of "Time and seasons" governs the time and season in which it will be revealed. All of us have an assigned amount of time to exist on the earth, and within that time frame, there are certain things that all of us will experience.

Before any of the events I will mention can happen, we must first exist—quite obvious, right? That's why Ecclesiastes 3:2 begins by stating, "There is a time to be born and a time to die." Essentially, we are given a specific period and season on earth, from birth to death, to fulfill a particular purpose. However, accomplishing that purpose will involve specific experiences that, regardless of what your purpose is, you will encounter and need to handle.

A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace, Eccl. 3:2-8.

I said all of that to get to this straightforward but often overlooked point: nothing is forever. The truth of this post is very real for those who have recently lost loved ones. It is during such times of death that we quickly realize that all of us and all things will someday be referred to in the past tense... meaning their time has expired!

Scripture further tells us that, "A wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment, Eccl 8:5. Simply put, a man who understands the law of "time and seasons" recognizes that, along with time being assigned to everything, there is also a judgment that accompanies it. We are accountable for the time given to our purpose. This is why we are commanded to redeem the time: the days are evil (Eph 5:16).

I want to advise someone to stop wasting time and focus on doing what God has placed you on earth to do, using the scriptural tools in Ecclesiastes 3:2-8 to fulfill your purpose. The day will come, just like for those who have gone before us, when you and I will have to stand before the supreme judge of time and give an account of how we maximized and managed our allotted time and fulfilled His purpose on earth.

Redeeming the time

Anyone with a brain in their head must have noticed that time is moving at a far greater pace than it once did!

While this may be good news for those looking forward to a vacation, school breaks, graduations, and so on, it is not good news for those who refuse to pursue their purpose for being here on earth. Since January 2015, many of us have lost loved ones or know well-known people we never would have imagined would meet their end this year.

Nevertheless, we remain committed to the routine of posting photos of our deceased loved ones all over social media to express our loss, but we still behave as if we have plenty of time to get our affairs in order. I am sure those who have passed this year have also attended funerals of their friends and family members, probably not realizing that their next visit to the cemetery would be in celebration of their life here on earth.

The purpose of this post is to ask you, the reader, how much longer you will continue procrastinating in getting your relationship with God in order. How much longer will you stay committed to your plans instead of aligning with the purpose for which God allowed you to be here?

Scripture clearly states that the living know they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even their names are forgotten. Their love, their hate, and their jealousy have long since vanished; they will never again have a part in anything that happens under the sun, Eccl 9:5-6.

With the above scripture in mind, one must consider that, given the swift passage of time, it is safe to say that time is running out for all of us since none of us knows when our time to cease to exist will come. However, while we may cease to exist here, we are very much alive somewhere else, and there is absolutely nothing our friends and loved ones can do on earth to alter where we will end up after death.

Why not ask God right now, "Lord, what is my reason for being here"? Father, am I on the right course that you originally intended for me? Father, help me to align myself with the destiny you have chosen for me. For those of you who do not have a relationship with God and His son, Jesus Christ, why not fix that right now while you still have the opportunity as a living person? As the scripture says, the dead will have no more participation in the earth, and eventually, their names will be forgotten.

It is my prayer tonight that this post will inspire you to change and that everything happening around you and in the world is urging you to consider the return of Jesus Christ, or that your time may come to an abrupt end.

Thank God for assigned times and seasons

Ask God this morning to provide you with patience, a clear mind and the ability to push past all visible and
invisible distractions that Satan has put in place to discourage and re-route you from your "SET TIME" of favor, opportunity, advancement, healing etc.

 I want to say to someone today, that everything during the course of our lives is indeed "TEMPORARY!"
 You just might be at a low or disadvantaged point in your life right now but according to the spiritual law of temporary, even your low or disadvantaged point has an assigned time attached to it.

The spiritual law of temporary dictates that there is a specific time and season for every purpose" Eccl. 3:1. Therefore, good, evil or indifferent all have a set time to exist in our lives. Being at the back of the line today is not a guarantee you'll be there tomorrow. Being the outcast at your place of employment has a set time, it will not be that way forever...... The spiritual law will not allow it!

As a reminder scripture records that it is God that changes the times and the seasons, Daniel 2:21. What could it be that God is changing in your favor through your current circumstances? What is it that God is desiring you to learn from this situation so that you'll be prepared for your next time and season?

Joseph, was an outcast by the actions of his brothers. What his brothers and including himself did not know, was that, there was a divine time and season set on the oppression assigned to that period of Joseph's life. However, when that assigned time had expired, his former position had no other choice than to release him into the next phase of his life.

Many of you reading this post are about to be catapult into your next appointed time and season. Just like Jonah the place you are currently at right now will vomit you into the next appointed time of your life, thus the reason for the opposition you've been facing there. The enemies of our appointed times and seasons are the wrong people, the wrong places and the wrong things, their sole purpose is to see to it that you don't meet those divine appointments, which is achieved by wasting your time being attached to them......... My God! Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that you've connected yourself to that's keeping you from where you should be at this point in your life?

Heavenly Father, keep us on the right path to our next time and season by removing the wrong people, places and things from our lives that were sent on assignment by the enemy to hijack our destiny. Supply us Lord with the ability to focus and to keep pressing forward in spite of the many challenges in the mighty name of your son Jesus Christ!

"Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favor her, yea, the "SET TIME", is come" Psalm 102:13.

Time and Opportunity will always be the keys to true success

 It is so easy to become depress and frustrated when you see others your equal seems to be so far ahead than you currently are.

 You sit in awe as you observe your peers and their kids graduate from college, start a family, create their own business and just simply making tremendous progress with their lives. At the same time it appears as if life is just passing you by and absolutely nothing seems to be working out for you.

 What can be even more frustrating is the fact that your kids just seem to be going backward instead of forward. Either they didn't finish high school, never went to college, their marriages are not working out, they just seem to be just hanging around wasting their lives. At some point you must ask the question, “Where did I go wrong, how am I any different than anyone else?” These thought can become even more aggravating knowing that you started out ahead of the folks that are now ahead of you.

 While reading yesterday, I came across a very interesting passage of scripture that actually spoke to these very common scenarios and here is what it said from the King James Version of the bible:

 “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happens to them all” Ecclesiastes 9:11

 However, the New Living translation bible says it this way, “I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time”

 With the above being said let’s look at a few common observation in our communities that will bring the reality of these scriptures to life. How many folks do you know that have a college degree but may be you and others make a lot more money than they do? How many folks that you are aware of that are wise but not rich? How many folks that you know have great understanding concerning how things work and operate but no one gives them favor? I can go on and on and on but I am sure you go the point already.

 Here is what I see in this passage of scripture and I would add that my observation is indeed a spiritual law. King Solomon in his wisdom clearly understood that riches, understanding, being swift, being strong, wise, or whatever else we constitute as giving us an advantage in life will not “GUARANTEE” success and prosperity.

Instead, spiritual law clearly states that TIME AND OPPORTUNITY is distributed among all human beings. Armed with this understanding this should automatically change the way that we pray. Meaning instead of asking God for wealth, riches, favor, promotion, a husband, a wife, a home or whatever, ask God to divinely position us at HIS

 SET TIMES FOR HIS PREARRANGED OPPORTUNITIES THAT HE'S PROVIDED IN ADVANCE FOR US………..

“Father, your word declares that you have already blessed us with “ALL” spiritual blessings in heavenly places, Eph. 1:3. Therefore lord I am convinced that everything has already been put in place by you for me to succeed. I believe this with all my heart and as a result I am humbly asking you to direct my path according to your set timing for those opportunities you’ve made available just for me according to Eccl 9:11. Father I am reminding you of your word like you have asked me to do, and your word clearly says, “That I must trust in you with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding but in all my ways I must acknowledge you and you promise that as a result of me doing this YOU WILL DIRECT MY PATH TO MY TIME AND OPPORTUNITIES” I ask this in Jesus name amen!

 Friends, I am feeling this one this morning, join me in declaring and decreeing that God has set aside a specific time along with a season for a specific opportunity for us today and every other day for the rest of our lives in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!
