Bewitched!

“O foolish Galatians who had bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ had been evidently set forth crucified among you Galatians. 3:1.”

These are the words written by the Apostle Paul, in his letter to the church of Galatia. In his letter he used the word bewitched to convey the understanding that the Galatian church had been mislead or placed under some kind of spell in order to cause them to do or believe things that they would not normally agree with, particularly after being witnesses of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

In our teaching today it is my desire to bring to you this very scenario of being bewitch in everyday living. How it is used as a common tool for control, the science behind it and its affect.

During the seventies there was a popular TV series called bewitched, where Elizabeth Montgomery who played Samantha, a witch in the show, could not resist using her spells or her ability to bewitch others to gain control only to make things turn out the way she desired, totally ignoring the will and desires of others to achieve her objectives.

Now, what does the word bewitch mean? The word bewitch mean to Cast a spell on and gain a magical control over someone or to captivate someone completely without physical restraints. So, if being bewitch does not require physical restraints, then how can a sound minded person be brought under the power or control of another, through the means of being bewitched?

Well, in order to understand this, you must first understand that the process of bewitching requires complete and total deception, meaning convincing one to believe something that is not true. At the same time it requires the victim’s participation by entertaining the one who is unknowingly bewitching them.

An example of this would be as follows: a man is in love with his wife and family, all of a sudden he becomes friendly with a female co-worker that he’s attracted to but, because of his marital commitment he keeps his distance. However she feels the same way about him and pursues him, having zero respect for his commitment to his wife and family. She now expresses her love for him, saying to him how handsome and strong he is etc. He now entertains her and becomes captivated by her and begins to do things that he would not do under normal circumstances. The plot thickens by him leaving his wife and children and moving in with this woman and her children. Neglecting his financial commitments and responsibilities that he is obligated to perform with his family. Not to mention him, faithfully financially providing for the other woman and her children while his wife and children suffers. Is this guy crazy? No! He’s been bewitched, meaning that there is a spirit of control over him manipulating him to believe something that is not true; to the point his family becomes the sacrifice for his lustful desires.

What happened to this man who was once in love with his family? Well, the later part of this man is not the same man that we spoke of originally and I will prove it. In the book of Proverbs 6:32 it reads, “whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding: he that does it destroys his own soul”. Now let’s break this scripture down so we can get a clearer understanding of what is actually being said here.

This scripture explains the spiritual aspect behind this type behavior. It starts by revealing to us that when one breaks a command of God in this case adultery, he is not aware of the sequence of events that will take place over a period of time. If you’ve notice the text did not say he who engages in adultery, instead the word commit is used which means to pledge, bind, obligate or become dedicated to something or someone.

Scripture further reveals that this consistent violating of God’s law, again, in this case adultery is destroying his soul. One’s soul involves their feelings, thoughts; mind etc. basically the administrator of their body. So if his soul is being destroyed, you can now understand why this once sensible man becomes impaired in his judgments and decision making.  His innocent entertaining of this lady that he initially knew was not good for him, somehow convinced him of a lie which he clearly accepted opening the door for not only the spirit of adultery but also deception, soul ties, mood swings, lying, being irresponsible and the list goes on.

Eventually these spirits take over, especially if this couple is active in their adulterous act (transferring of spirits). The end result for this man is he has becomes an entirely different person. For lack of a better word he has becomes a fool! To the point that “when” not if this lady has affairs on him he somehow reasons it out in his mind and eventually accepts it only in an effort to sustain and maintain in his mind this false relationship where he unknowingly is being manipulated.

This scenario is played out in all sectors of our society; unfortunately it frequently ends in divorce, violence, broken homes and sometimes even death. It usually ends this way because those that address it, addresses it from a natural or physical stand point, believing that they can beat sense into the person or try public humiliation to bring about a change of heart. NEWS FLASH YOU CAN NOT BEAT SENSE INTO A SPIRIT, OR EVEN HUMILATE THAT SPIRIT.

Until you address the source which is the spirit that is influencing that person and not the person themselves, you are in fact fighting a losing battle, in which you are guaranteed failure as your end result. In the book of Mark 1:22-26 Jesus encountered a man in the synagogue that had an unclean spirit. The text goes on to say, “And he cried out, let us alone what have we to do with thee thou Jesus of Nazareth?” Many folks miss this and believe that the man cried out, instead it was the unclean spirit in the man speaking through the man. As proof of this the text further states the unclean spirit said what have “we” to do with thee, which is additional evidence that not only is it one spirit speaking but numerous spirits.

The Apostle revealed in his letter to the Ephesian Church this revelation, “For we wrestle/fight not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places (all four groups being spiritual).

So what am I saying to you my readers? STOP FIGHTING THE PERSON AND BEGIN FIGHTING THE SPIRIT THAT IS INFLUENCING OR HAVE BEWITCHED THE PERSON. That person is under a nasty deceiving spell that they’re not even aware of. This will take more than just your average prayers, because as I’ve explained already you are dealing with a host of evil spirits. Jesus said this kind comes out only through prayer and fasting Matthew 17:21.

Prayer and fasting is the only successful solution because prayer and fasting does the following:
  • Break the bands of wickedness
  • Undo heavy burdens
  • Set the captives free
  • Break every yoke
  • Restores health quickly
  • Causes one understanding to break forth as the morning
These are all the positive results of a genuine fast according to Isaiah 58:6,8. in an effort to get rid of “THIS KIND”.

Heavenly father thank you for giving me the keys to the kingdom, I now bind the prince of the power of the air that rules over these unclean spirits that have bewitched folks to commit habitual sins. I bind the prince of darkness and the power of darkness in Jesus name. I now, by your authority loose these people and break the pad locks off their spiritual cages in the matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

I Need Clarity!

Clarity is the state or quality of being transparent and understandable, both visually and conceptually. According to Proverbs 4:7, wisdom is of utmost importance. However, more than the pursuit of wisdom alone is required. To attain clarity in any undertaking, it is crucial to simultaneously acquire a deep understanding of all aspects of the task, in addition to wisdom.

After reading the scripture in question, I began to contemplate its meaning. Upon reflection, I realized that wisdom and understanding are separate entities. However, possessing wisdom and understanding allows for a clearer understanding of any subject.

To achieve clarity, it is crucial to understand the difference between wisdom and understanding. Both are necessary to make sound judgments and decisions. Wisdom is the ability to discern between right and wrong or good and evil. It helps us make sense of confusing and perplexing areas of our lives. Understanding, on the other hand, focuses on how things work, operate, or function. It provides a concise explanation of the mechanics behind a particular concept or system.

Combining wisdom and understanding creates clarity, whereas operating them independently leads to confusion.

As Christians, we often face confusing situations that trouble us deeply. For instance, we may experience persistent adverse outcomes that must be clarified despite our faithful efforts. For example, we may be committed to paying our tithes and offerings yet end up in more debt than before we started. Or we may have felt an explicit confirmation from God that a particular person is our intended spouse, but now it seems like they were sent by the enemy to make our life miserable.
You have prayed and fasted for a job, and finally, you got it. However, you feel you are treated poorly on that job, like something stuck at the bottom of someone's shoe. Maybe you were advised to sow a monetary seed to achieve favor from God to save your home that's up for foreclosure, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to sustain it, and it was posted in the local daily for foreclosure.

It's hard to deny that, at this point, many of us might feel compelled to ask questions such as, "God, are you toying with me?" or "God, where do you fit into all of this?" Another joint statement from a Christian perspective might be, "God, please grant me clarity!"

In the book of Jeremiah chapter 29, God's prophet, Jeremiah, wrote a letter to the elders, priests, prophets, and all Israelites whom Nebuchadnezzar had taken captive from Jerusalem to Babylon. In the letter, he explained that God had allowed this to happen and advised them to start building homes, planting gardens, getting married, seeking peace in the city, and praying to God that the city would have peace so they, too, could be at peace. Further, God declared through Jeremiah that they would dwell in that land for seventy years.

The Israelites must have been confused and wondered why God allowed a foreign nation, who did not even acknowledge Him, to remove them from the land He had given to them. They were now being ruled by a foreign king, adding to their confusion and sense of abandonment by God. They needed clarity, which they had not received until Jeremiah's letter. Although they knew they were captive in Babylon, they needed an understanding of their situation, which would produce the required clarity.

Jeremiah's letter brought about that understanding to complement the wisdom they already possessed and eventually gave clarity.

Dear readers, I want to speak to you about your wisdom. This wisdom is only a part of the whole picture, and it may have led you down a path of debt, a failing marriage, foreclosure on your home and business, and more. I understand that you may be feeling frustrated and ready to give up. However, it's vital to gain a deeper understanding of why you are going through these difficult times. These challenges are the result of a confused and distressed state. As a messenger of God, I am here to remind you that God is with you now more than ever, as stated in Psalms 46:1. You may be judging God foolishly based on your wisdom alone without taking into account the understanding that comes from Him, which can bring about clarity. I urge you to seek God's understanding and guidance during these trying times.

The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Corinth church, said, "For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when that which is perfect (complete or whole) comes, then that which is in part shall be done away with 1Corinthians 13:9-10. So, it is evident in this scripture that the confusion about our problem is due to us prematurely judging the entire situation based on parts of the whole that are presented to us.

Please! Before I proceed any further, ask God to forgive you for your misjudgment and the negative words you've said concerning your unclear situations. Now, ask him for the understanding needed to clarify your position.

In Jeremiah's letter, he prophesied that after completing the seventy years of captivity in Babylon, God would visit his people, perform his word towards them, and bring them back to their land. God also assured them that he had good thoughts for them, thoughts of peace and not evil and that he would give them a bright future. As a believer in Jesus Christ, this is excellent news because it means that, despite my current struggles, God has a plan for my life that will ultimately lead to peace, joy, and fulfilling my expectations in Him. I trust in Romans 8:28, which tells us that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him. Therefore, what is happening to me is not happening to me but for my benefit. Praise be to the name of Jesus!

So, what is the reality of all of this? Well, the truth of all this is your crying, frustration, mood swings, fasting, praying, complaining, murmuring, and agreeing with others for God to bring change will not alter, delete, or change the pre-assigned time by God to your trouble. Know that this testing of your faith is producing patience. But only in completing that patience will you become complete or be restored, James 1: 3-4. God is the God of divine purpose, and for every purpose, there is a time and season. We usually classify the original intent of something or someone as its purpose, and only time and season can unveil what God has purposed in and for us.

Do not allow the size of your problem to frustrate you, but instead, ask God to reveal to you the understanding to bring clarity and peace of mind while you endure the time and season of that trouble that will conclude in good for you. "For we know that ALL things (good and bad) are working in harmony for our good Romans 8:28.

Heavenly Father, thank you again for this word that comforts your people. This is another piece of evidence that amplifies your sovereignty. I ask you now, in the name of your son Jesus Christ, to impart patience and understanding to the wisdom of your people to bring about clarity during their challenges. Finally, Father, I pray for peace that passes all understanding in the matchless and mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

The Foot of pride.

The words feet and hand almost always symbolize power and authority throughout the Holy Bible. They indicate that whatever is under the feet of something or someone is also subject to it.

A few examples of this can be found in the following scriptures: Psalm 8:6 states, Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet. Psalm 47:3 says He shall subdue the people under us and the nations under our feet. Also, Psalm 18:38 says, I have wounded them that they could not rise; they are fallen under my feet.

In all the above scriptures, it is clear that the expression of the word feet suggests subduing, possessing authority over something or someone, or the mere exercise of power and control.

With this understanding in mind, I began to analyze Psalms 36:11, which says, "Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me."

Before we scrutinize this passage, let us understand the word pride to gain an expanded sense of the entirety of this scripture. Pride is a high or inordinate opinion of one's dignity, importance, merit, or superiority, whether cherished in the mind or displayed in conduct.

In this scripture, David, the author, seems to be asking God not to let the power of pride control or subdue him. In simple terms, the foot of pride is actually the power of self! Even though pride is rarely admitted, it has incorporated in itself the power to not only possess an individual but make him/her believe that he/she is above others, that he/she is subject to no one, and that everyone else must bow to them.

When the spirit of pride enters someone, their thinking changes. Their thoughts are mainly about themselves and become superior to the thoughts, feelings, opinions, and ideas of others.

The foot of pride automatically makes one a controller and an oppressor. The reason is that their ideas, thoughts, opinions, and feelings are the only ones that matter and should be acted upon. So, the best way to execute this must require the ability to gain absolute power and oppress the opinions, thoughts, feelings, and ideas of others. The Bible tells us that pride is accompanied by shame, according to Proverbs. 11:2. this is so because no one person knows everything. Therefore, error becomes inevitable for the one under the power of pride. Surprisingly, whenever the spotlight is removed from this person, they become childlike and do everything they can to direct all attention back to them. Their favorite tools to achieve this objective are manipulation, intimidation, and domination.

When wrapped up into one, the above three tools produce the term witchcraft. Witchcraft, in its most straightforward understanding, is the ability to make others do what you want them to do via manipulation, intimidation, and domination. This principle is applicable in the natural and spiritual sense and is most successful for those who operate under the influence of the power of pride. Unfortunately, these folks become very dangerous because they will only stop at something to win or achieve. Their sense of shame and the views of others have no basis; therefore, what is clearly foolish to the world makes complete sense to them again because it's all about winning for them.

Only by pride comes contention, Proverbs 13:10. I was surprised when I discovered this scripture because it suggests that pride is the root cause of all contention. So, the obvious solution would be to remove the foot or power of pride, and contention would cease. Folks who possess this spirit are literally bound with spiritual chains, Psalms 73:6, which implies they are physically accessible. However, they are mentally imprisoned by their selfish, high-minded ideas and opinions, which incidentally leaves no room for the thoughts and ideas of others.

King Solomon said, "In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride, and this same pride will make the path clear for their destruction" Proverbs 14:3, 16:18. Those who refuse to resist or do away with the power or the foot of pride has simultaneously unknowingly agreed to a life filled with unfavorable and disgraceful events. Even worse, they're securing a generational curse for their future generations. Our Bible tells us that every seed produces after its kind. Further, no good tree can bring forth bad fruit. Folks that radiate this type of prideful behavior most likely inherited it from their family lineage. Or has allowed some past hurt in their life that was never forgiven to, in due course, form a rot of bitterness and eventually conceive pride.

The workplace has always been a nest for the foot of pride to run its course. Many employees and co-workers have been victims of this stubborn evil. However, aside from pride being the core of contention on the job, I have also discovered that it is the subliminal instigator of jealousy. Jealousy always arises when one feels that they should have the best or be the best than those around them. When this sense of inferiority begins to surface in the pride-filled person, intense jealousy is the next move, and they utilize victimization, condescending words, spreading rumors, etc., all to devalue the person they're jealous of.

I have witnessed folks, by way of pride, leave their jobs, spouses, family, etc., only to be brought to shame and disgrace in the end. Again, King Solomon said, "A man's pride shall bring him low," but honor shall uphold the humble in spirit. We are also told by the Bible that God resists the proud. The word resists means to oppose, withstand, or strive against. I think it's safe to say God wants no communication with the proud because, just like Satan, he will eventually reject God's plan and want to implement his own.

My dear readers, I beg you to reevaluate yourself and ask God to assist you in ascertaining if the foot of pride has come upon you. This is vitally important because you could behave in a way that may seem wise but unwise to others. Pride is a deceiving, conniving spirit that makes one believe they are always right, causes one to behave unseemly, and consistently rejects proven sound advice. These are all the perfect ingredients for failure, with a topping of shame and disgrace.

Many today only wish they had dealt with this pride issue before their demise. I am sure some right now are reading this article who have experienced the demands that the foot of pride has placed upon them, only to reap a harvest far below their expectations.

The 9th verse of Psalm 36 refers to something quite remarkable. It says, "For with thee (God) is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see more light.

I pray that you immerse yourself in the fountain of life, which is the word of God, and in his light, which is life (John 1:4), you will receive and achieve a greater understanding of the life he has purposed for you.

Heavenly Father, thank you for being the light of the world. This day, I stand in the authority you gave me to subdue the foot of pride in every reader of this article. I command the spirit of pride to leave your people and to be instantly replaced with the spirit of humility. Thank you, Father, because according to faith, I am convinced that every spiritual chain that has held them bound has been broken in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

The power of darkness

The bible is saturated with many references of the word darkness; in particular it is used metaphorically to bring about greater spiritual understanding and much needed spiritual insight.

Our quest today is to discover what exactly is the understanding of the phrase" the power of darkness" and how does it affect every human being that has ever set foot on the face of this earth.

The most common use of the word darkness throughout the bible mainly signifies ignorance. Ignorance, which comes from the word ignorant, is defined as lacking in knowledge or information. However in the biblical sense it speaks of lacking in the knowledge of God which entails the laws, rules, principles, commandments, precepts and protocols of the Holy scriptures, that controls and sets the boundaries of our natural world and the spirit world.

The Apostle Paul in Colossians 1:13 speak of how God has delivered us from the "power of darkness", and have translated us in to the kingdom of his dear son. The word power speaks of authority or dominion. So, in essence The Apostle Paul in his revelation is revealing that there is literally an authority that rules the ignorance of folks that resist, disobey or out right reject God's way of how things should be done.

Now, to build upon this truth lets look at another scripture as evidence to this revelation. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 says, “But if our gospel (God’s word) be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world (Satan) have blinded the minds (to make ignorant) of them which believe not, least the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God should shine unto them.

So, as you've read when folks make the decision to not believe God’s word or lack the knowledge of him. Satan which is the god of this world has a spiritual legal right to enforce his authority of ignorance upon the unbelievers, so that the light or understanding of the gospel would not appeal to them. In such cases according to Apostle Paul only God can deliver such a person from the power of darkness.

Satan of course, who is the master manipulator behind this diabolical plan, has a kingdom which has a hierarchy according to Ephesians 6:12 that have the following order:
  • Principalities
  • Powers
  • Rulers of the darkness of this world
  • And spiritual wickedness in high places
Now, Isn't it interesting to know that the third rank in Satan’s kingdom is in fact the "rulers of the darkness" of this world? Indicating that, there are high ranking demonic forces that are solely responsible for managing and administering ignorance over the Believers and unbelievers of this world.

This revelation spoke volumes to me because, I began to see that folks that are ignorant of God and the spiritual things allowed by God concerning him is never by chance or accident, but are intentionally governed and calculated by high ranking evil spirits. As a matter of fact, the Apostle Paul cautioned the Christians of Ephesus, in Ephesians 6:11, 13-17 that in an effort to resist these spirits, we should always be outfitted with the whole armor of God due to their subtle ability to manipulate the minds of the naive and even learned. I would like to insert here that the armor of God is not a physical suit. Instead it is a spiritual suite, specifically designed to stand against the wiles of the Devil and his cohorts. I would also like to add that the wiles of the Devil are never physical in its origin. to the contrary the wiles of the Devil is always conceived in the spirit realm and hatched in the natural realm. So, whatever it is that you are contending with in the natural, will always be the result of what was conceived in the spirit world.

When Jesus was initially betrayed by Judas, the chief priests and captains of the temple came looking for Jesus with their swords and staves, Jesus said, “When I was daily with you in the temple, you stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the" power of darkness” Luke 22:53.

Again, here is another piece of evidence that because of the people’s unbelief the power of darkness or the authorities of ignorance which are high ranking evil spirits operating through human agents had a legal right to dominate the unbelievers. Unfortunately in this case even the priest and captains of the temple (church) have been dominated by the rulers of the darkness of this world. I think it’s obvious they did not possess the armor or true knowledge of God.

As we've discovered thus far the bible clearly shows us that darkness symbolizes ignorance and at the same time light symbolizes understanding or knowledge according to Colossians 1:13. King Solomon alluded to this in Proverbs 4:18-19, he said, “But the path of the just is as a shining light (understanding) that shines more and more unto the perfect day. However, the way of the wicked is as darkness (ignorance); they know not at what they stumble.

King David, the father of King Solomon also had insight to this revelation when he said the following, “Such as sit in darkness (ignorance) and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron; because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most high Psalms" 107:10-11. again their ignorance was due to rebellion of God’s word which in turn gave Satan the spiritual legal right to keep them ignorant.

Folks, I am of the view that God wants us to walk in complete obedience towards him. Our obedience to him is the deciding factor as to whether we’ll live in ignorance or not. Ignorance to the word of God opens the door to the spirits of depression, hate, anger, sexual immorality, fatigue, frustration, confusion, poverty and every spirit that is not of God. The keys that evil spirits use to gain access to our lives are the keys of ignorance of the knowledge of God. Scripture confirms this when it said that, “My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge, Hosea 4:6. If carefully analyzed this passage of scripture is literally giving us spiritual insight into the overlooked protocol to destruction. Suggesting that in order for destruction to be achieved or accomplished, there must be a LACK OF KNOWLEDGE!

The facts will reveal that Satan, can only oppress us with ignorance, if we give him permission through the lack of knowledge. “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you. That God is light (understanding and knowledge), and in him is no darkness (ignorance) at all. If we say we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness (ignorance), we lie and do not the truth" 1 John 1:5.

Therefore the revelation here is, wherever the word of God is void in one’s life it is automatically replaced with ignorance, the possessor of that ignorance now becomes impaired in their decision making and their counsel to others. These people become slaves to a life of confusion and instability. In my observation I have discovered that the worst of this kind are those that are educated and feel as if their education supersedes the knowledge of God. The tell tail signs of such people are:
  • Arrogance
  • No submission to authority
  • Manipulative
  • Controlling
  • And most evident is the consistent displaying of selfishness and the obsession to always be in control.

Regrettably, the power of darkness is spiritually holding the hands of these folks leading them on a guaranteed path of self destruction.  These folks have no idea that they are being dominated and manipulated by unseen forces, that are greatly influencing them and using them as their agents to achieve their diabolical objectives.

It is my prayer that you would allow God to deliver you from the power of darkness and replace it with the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, so that the spiritual eyes of your understanding would be enlightened to the works and devices of Satan.

Heavenly father, again I thank you for your divine revelation, and the delivery of it to your people. Your word declares that wisdom is the principal or most important thing; therefore I speak wisdom and understanding to every dark and confused area of their lives. I bind the power of darkness, and command it to leave their lives indefinitely. I pray Father that the power of darkness would be replaced with your word and that they’ll have an insatiable for the things of you in the matchless and might name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Perception!

Perception is the process of receiving information through the senses (hearing, feeling, tasting, smelling and seeing) and making sense of it. It is also defined as the process by which an organism detects and interprets information from the external world by means of the sensory receptors.

When making our assessments of others, our decisions or conclusions of them are usually only garnered from our senses. This can be erroneous in some cases because things aren't always they way they appear. The bible admonishes us to walk in the spirit so that we would not fulfill the lust of our flesh. We are also told to walk by faith and not by sight. In both scriptures the underlying tone suggests that we can judge or perceive incorrectly if left to our senses and not being aided by the spirit of God.

In many of our local churches, we are reminded frequently of the favor of God, but very few explain to us how this favor comes about. In today’s teaching we will analyze how God will alter the perception of others in an effort to not only grant us favor but via the perception of others cause promotion, opportunities, open doors that could not have happen under normal circumstances.

Just before I proceed any further with this biblical insight, I must make clear that when God promotes, give favor, advances, or elevate you he initiates it by changing the perception of those around you. The lessons which were via your trouble and challenges were making the necessary changes in you. However I am sure you’ll agree that no matter how much you’ve changed some folks refuse to accept the fact that you’ve changed, and will continue to label or categorize you as to who you use to be. Therefore, if it were left up to those around you who refuse to accept your change you’ll never advance. So, it is necessary for God to change their perception of you to accommodate the change in you.

Joshua, who was the minister of Moses was about to take on one of the greatest challenges of his life. That challenge was taking over as the leader of the children of Israel following Moses’ death. Now, least we forget this was not an easy task, simply because Moses was the greatest leader they ever knew. Aside from leading them out of Egyptian bondage, the many miracles that were performed by God through him and to top it off he brought them of slavery by breaking the back of poverty and making them wealthy.

Like any good leader Moses affirms Joshua as the future leader to the children of Israel. “And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of Israel, be strong and of good courage.” Moses added by saying, “The Lord will go before thee, he will not fail thee nor forsake thee, fear not neither be dismayed” (Deuteronomy 31:7-8). In reading this I was compel to ask myself, why would Moses say this to him be strong and of good courage? I am convinced Moses knew the difficult times Joshua would have faced leading an estimated three million people who revered Moses.

In Deuteronomy 31:7-8, Joshua 1:6,7,9 Moses and God had repeatedly said to Joshua: a) Be strong b)  Be of good courage c) Fear not and d) Be not dismayed. Again seeing that Joshua is now the leader, why are these four statements being rehearsed into his hearing?
It is almost as if they knew something Joshua did not know. The truth is they both knew that the children of Israel would automatically compare Joshua to Moses and conclude that Joshua was inferior to Moses and not capable of leading them like Moses did.

So, even though Joshua was qualified for the job the children of Israel perception needed to be amended to remove this comparison issue. Right now you are qualified for that promotion on your job, or you've changed your life and decided to live for God, but somehow folks don’t accept your new status because you are still the same old you in their sight. Therefore God will have to do for you what he’s about to do for Joshua.

“And the Lord said to Joshua, this day will I begin to "MAGNIFYthee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee. The word, magnify means: to make someone or something appear larger than it is as with a lens or microscope.

The revelation here is simply this, God changed absolutely nothing about Joshua. God did not change his height, strength, weight etc, but instead the bible said that God made Joshua appear larger than he was in the sight of Israel. The only thing that was changed was Israel’s perception of Joshua who was already qualified for what God had called him to do……wow!

My beloved readers, you've been ridicule, talked about, used, skipped over for promotion, degraded and laughed at. To add insult to injury it has been trouble after trouble, disappointment, set backs and not to mention hindrances. However this year God has decided that you've qualified to go forward, but he has to change the perception of your haters and oppressors. All of the challenges were in an effort to change you. Now that, that leg of the process is completed GOD WILL NOW MAGNIFY YOU IN THIS YEAR!

Magnification from God places a demand on your haters and oppressors to respect you and see you as what God has called you to be. JUST FOR YOU, GOD WILL CHANGE THE SPIRITUAL LENS OF ALL THOSE THAT OPPOSED YOU IN YEARS, MONTHS, AND WEEKS PAST, ONLY TO REVEAL TO THEM WHAT HE HAS DONE IN YOU….

Remember when Jesus did his miracles, the nay Sayers said, “Isn't this Mary and Joseph boy? Isn't this the carpenter”. God magnified Jesus through his miracles and teachings. However prior to this he was just a regular person to the people, not that he wasn't ready to do God’s work, but the people’s perception had to be altered, and only God can do that.

Wherever you are right now say it out loud or scream it out in your mind GOD HAS MAGNIFIED ME AND IT HAS CAUSED ME TO APPEAR LARGER, MAGNIFICENT, GLORIOUS, AND MORE CONFIDENT IN THE SIGHT OF MY ENEMIES!

Prayer points:

  • Confess and repent of all your sins
  • Ask God for courage, strength and the ability to resisting fear and confusion
  • Believe that God is with you and will not forsake you
  • Finally, ask God to magnify you and begin thanking him and behaving as if it has already happened.

Heavenly father thank you once again for your revelations, and for everyone that would have read this article. It is no accident that they came across this article today, but all according to your divine plan for their lives. I now come in agreement with your word which is faith and declare that you magnify them in the sight of those around them. I command that the spiritual lens of their oppressors and haters be changed only to behold what you've done in their lives. Your word declares that whatsoever thing we desire when we pray, believe that we've receive it and we shall have it, in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ.

Your Comfort Zone Is Destroying You!

Can you explain what a comfort zone is? Simply put, it's a state of mind where a person feels at ease and content, disregarding any warning signs of potential danger. They become complacent and relaxed in their mental state of comfort, despite knowing that it may negatively impact their physical, spiritual, financial, mental, and emotional well-being.

It is disheartening to witness individuals capable of achieving great things settling for situations, people, and environments that hinder their progress and deplete their motivation. As I researched this topic, I pondered how one attains the mental fortitude to overcome such challenges. Moreover, how can one convince themselves to persevere despite facing discomfort and adversity?

As I was seeking answers to this puzzling question, I stumbled upon a scripture passage that expanded my comprehension to a higher level. In his book of Proverbs, King Solomon made a profound observation about this issue. Here is what he stated:

"I went to the field of the slothful and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; and, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down. Then I saw and considered it well: I looked upon it and received instruction. Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep. So shall thy poverty come as one that traveleth and thy want as an armed man" Proverbs 24:30-34?

In King Solomon's opening sentence, he isolates two contributing factors that initiate this comfort zone process. These factors are: being slothful and being void of understanding. The word slothful is being reluctant to make an effort, sluggish or inactive. On the other hand, being void of understanding suggests that one needs help to grasp the importance and significance of anything.

Solomon's observation about the destructive nature of comfort zones was particularly insightful. He noted that those most often affected by this phenomenon are people of means who have the resources and ability to do better. He supported this claim by referencing the FIELD of the slothful and the VINYARD of the man void of understanding, which suggests that these individuals had the means to improve their situation.

According to Solomon, this mentality or limited thinking can negatively affect all aspects of a person's life. These consequences may include loss, depression, frustration, fatigue, and, ultimately, a complete deterioration of everything related to them.

Solomon noted that the neglect of resources, such as education funding and basic common sense, results from these individuals' slothfulness and lack of understanding. However, the more concerning issue is the breakdown of their walls. This signifies their vulnerability and inability to defend themselves, making their lives easy targets for exploitation. As a result, they become complicit in their own mistreatment with no resistance to those taking advantage of them.

With the above understanding in mind, it somewhat makes sense why a woman would choose to stay in an abusive relationship. Similarly, why would a husband tolerate disrespectful behavior from his wife, whether in private or public? And why would someone with a good education settle for a job below their potential? Finally, why continue to invest time and energy into a relationship - whether it's romantic, business, or platonic - that isn't going anywhere?

The answer is quite simple: they've found a comfort zone in their mind. In fact, they have secured a place of comfort in their world of discomfort.  They have convinced themselves that it's ok to be this way, and by being this way, it requires little to no effort on their end to resist anything or anyone, thus providing their destructive comfort zone. Wow, how sad!

Experts in psychology and psychiatry have concluded that denial is typically the initial indication of a problem. Ignoring or denying the existence of a problem does not resolve it or lead to self-repair. This aligns with the wisdom of Solomon, who warned that neglecting responsibilities and avoiding action can result in adverse consequences such as poverty and frustration.

As you may have gathered, this harmful state of comfort did not arise suddenly. It resulted from a gradual process that required perseverance, understanding, and support from oneself and possibly others who enabled this destructive behavior to lead to your downfall.

Solomon clarified it when he said; he saw and considered both conditions well and received instructions from his observation. He's hinting here that you can use his analysis as a reference point to how not to become a victim of this vicious behavior.

To those who can relate, I urge you to wake up and break free from the destructive comfort zone that has held you captive for years. Take a moment to remember what God has said to you: You were made a little lower than the angels and crowned with glory and honor. You have been given dominion over the works of God's hands, and He has placed all things under your feet, Psalms 8:5-6. Ask God to help you break free from your limitations and reach your full potential.

You are a child of God with immense potential and purpose. Allow God's guidance to lead you toward greatness and fulfillment. Do not let the enemy's lies keep you from achieving all God has planned for you. Trust in Him and His promises, and you will see blessings in your life. Remember, you are not a failure but a conqueror in Christ Jesus. Keep pushing forward, and never give up on your dreams.

MY PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED FOR THE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE BECAUSE YOU HAVE REJECTED KNOWLEDGE. I WILL ALSO REJECT YOU. (Hosea 4:6).

Dear God, I ask that your word acts as a tool to uproot any negative patterns and habits in the lives of your people. May your word carve away at these harmful mindsets and replace them with a proper understanding of their identity and purpose. I stand with those who seek to break free from their spiritual limitations, and I speak life into every aspect of their existence impacted by these destructive patterns. I pray all of this in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

HURT!

Hurt! The silent killer

Emotional hurt, by far is one of life’s most destructive blows to a person. In most cases I am sure all would agree that physical hurt would be preferable over emotional hurt.

Can there be anything more painful to a person than emotional hurt? Better yet have you ever experienced a relationship where you felt or knew that you were just not being heard emotionally? Now the age old argument is, “I am no mind reader, neither am I a psychic, how am I suppose to know what’s going on in your head”

Well, guess what, it is your duty and concern to have an Idea when something is not right with your partner emotionally. (View my article on the law of association)

Now, before you attack me here, let us look at the wisdom of God’s word. Solomon the author of the book of Proverbs gave a very simple, but profound proverb, he said, “Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flock and look well to thy herd. For riches are not forever, and the crown will not endure to every generation.

It would appear as if there is a mix up here, what does hurt have to do with flock, heard, crown or riches?  Well, absolutely nothing but let us insert the points of this proverb into the emotional part of our relationships.

The word diligent means to put care and effort into what you do. The word state is defined as: the condition of someone or something. So here is the revelation: it is both parties responsibility to place care and effort on the emotional condition of each other particularly when there is a noticeable change that signals emotional hurt.

Ignoring such hurts sets the stage for the much to common silent wars between couples. Caught in its infancy can avoid a whole lot of future apologies and forgiveness.

He then goes on to say that riches does not last forever, and the crown will not be passed to every generation……what does this mean?

To continue this revelation Solomon is advising that the emotional condition that you appreciate in him/her right now will not last forever, they will not be the same everyday.  He is also subliminally suggesting that we be very cognizant of any variation of the emotional aspects of our partner.

So in other words, put aside being self absorbed, remove the lime light off ourselves for a moment and begin to silently hear the emotional pains and hurt of our partner. Put aside how we may feel and seriously consider the feelings of our significant other, if only in an effort to meet the emotional needs that has been silently crying out unnoticed by us.
