Several years ago, I had a series of awful dreams about a particular Pastor whom I was pretty familiar with. In one of these dreams, the pastor and I were in a church. The church was very dark on the inside. However, a circular ray of light surrounded me and extended about one to two feet away.
There was no one besides this pastor and me in this dark church. Amazingly, this pastor was unaware that I could see him clearly in the dark. Nevertheless, this pastor was walking a little distance behind me, and to my surprise, I could hear but not see the sound of evil creatures making the most evil noises I had ever heard in my entire life. Unfortunately, I could not see these creatures because the area where they were located was much darker than where the pastor and I were. In fact, I could sense an intense hatred towards me in this dream, as conveyed in their evil sound. At one point, I can recall what appeared to be a claw that came out of the darkness to attack me. However, immediately, the claw made contact with the light surrounding me. It was burned, and I could see smoke emitting from the burnt area of the claw. The claw of this creature immediately retreated into the darkness, and the sounds of that creature became even more intense. To be clear, emotionally, I wasn't experiencing any form of fear. Instead, I was more confused by the events unfolding and trying to make sense of what was happening.
However, the pastor walking behind me (but was unaware that he was visible to me in the darkness) was strangely communicating with these evil creatures in a language I had never heard before. He has had some kind of control or authority over these creatures. Again, this pastor was not aware that I could see him and that he was the one orchestrating all of this. The dream ended, and I was perplexed for months because I did not understand the dream, particularly the role of the pastor in it. Based on my knowledge of him and what he displayed outwardly in reality, he was a good person.
Amazingly, a few months later. I had another dream regarding this same pastor. In this dream, he was walking through the street where I reside with a man I did not know. Both were dressed in all black, including black socks, shirts, and shoes. The only difference in their attire was that the pastor was wearing a black-style cape with erect collars, much like the one worn by Count Dracula in the movies. In this dream, I observed the pastor say to the gentleman who accompanied him, "Continue walking. I will join you later."The pastor then entered my property but stopped at a certain point intentionally. It was as if there was an invisible barrier preventing him from proceeding any further. At this point, I was standing in the doorway that separated the outside and inside of my home. He then made a statement to me, and I, in turn, asked him in an aggressive tone to leave my property. I then turned my back on him and proceeded inside my home; the dream ended.
I then started having more frequent and dreaded dreams about this same pastor, where he would either be engaging in evil rituals or moving about in my dreams unclothed, making weird signs with his hands and, in some instances, contorting his body as if he were a Crab. In most of these dreams, this pastor and a few of his relatives would always attempt to invite me where they were or entice me to join them in whatever they were doing. It was almost as if they needed me to come on their turf for them to have an effect on me. Still, there was always some invisible field surrounding me that prevented anything they projected at me in the dream from making any kind of contact with me. In hindsight, I am now aware that their enticing me to cooperate with them in the dream was to initiate me in achieving a covenant with them, which would have provided them with the legal rights to successfully attack me spiritually. Scripture says to us, "Whosoever tampers with his hedge of protection, a Serpent will bite him," Eccl. 10:8b. This would be the same hedge that Satan spoke of that was protecting Job, in Job 1:10.
To clarify these dreams, we must remember that the dream transports us to the spiritual world, which is the source of all things. Typically, the events in a dream are concealed from reality; hence, the dream is revealing excerpts of what is happening behind the scenes in our everyday lives. As I mentioned earlier about the dream, I was in a church that was shrouded in darkness; however, I could see through it. At least, I could see the pastor in the darkness, but not the creatures making the strange noises. So far, the darkness in the dream is revealing not just evil, but due to the intensity of the darkness, primarily where the creatures were located, indicating extreme evil. The dream further suggests that the pastor is not a genuine practitioner of the gospel, as he pretends to be. Instead, he is deeply involved in darkness (witchcraft), which will, in turn, reveal he's actually a Warlock. What made the pastor's case even worse was that he was actually communicating with these creatures in an unknown language, which exposed his relationship with them.
As for myself, in this part of the dream. The dim ray of light that surrounded me was God's hedge of protection around me. The dimness of the light was also revealing where I was spiritually at that time; nevertheless, I was still protected. The dream also shows that the church itself is shrouded in darkness (evil) and ignorance, which, of course, is not surprising when the leader is committed to evil deeds. In hindsight, when the creature made an attempt to attack me, but failed, and the "pastor" communicated with them. It made it clear to me that the "pastor" was the one behind all of this, which means that while he pretended to be such a nice person, in reality, the truth was that he was working against me spiritually via witchcraft. Again, the dream is a clear reminder that NO WEAPON formed against a true Believer of Jesus Christ will prosper.
The second dream simply confirmed who this "pastor" really was. To be honest, I was confused by the first dream, mainly because I kept holding on to the fact that he was a pastor. But the second dream made it unmistakably clear that this "pastor" was actually a warlock. Here’s how I interpret the symbols in the second dream: a man dressed entirely in black signifies a warlock, considering all the other dark factors involved in the dream. If it had been a woman in black, it would be a witch. The other man in black in the dream is also a warlock, but the difference is that the "pastor" held a higher rank, indicated by his cape with the standing collars. Again, even in this second dream, like I said, he was intentional about not crossing a certain point when he entered my property. Indeed, the dream is revealing that he recognizes there are boundaries to his evil intent. So, in essence, the dreams were showing the true nature of this "pastor" and, at the same time, exposing his spiritually true intent towards me. This is why it is crucial to focus more on doing the right things in life as opposed to focusing on who is trying to project curses at you via witchcraft. As a reminder, "A causeless curse has no legal rights to affect someone" (Proverbs 26:2). God will continue to defend those who place their trust in Him, even when they are unaware that people are fighting against them spiritually.
Would you believe that several weeks after these dreams, a close relative of this pastor met with me seeking advice on a matter and, during our conversation, revealed to me that their relative, who is the pastor, is deeply involved in the occult, mainly witchcraft? I never mentioned my dreams to the relative concerning the pastor. In fact, he initiated the conversation without any prompting from me. I am clear on the understanding that this was God's way of teaching me about dreams and their interpretation, as well as bridging the connection between our natural world and the spiritual world.
To clarify, these interpretations are general and have been accurate in most dreams featuring individuals in black clothing. I will continue to recommend that you pray to the Holy Spirit for confirmation about your dreams, because, according to the Bible, it is the Holy Spirit that guides us into all truth.
