We live in a time when God repeatedly speaks to us through our dreams!
Interestingly, God clarified that one way to identify a prophet is through a person's frequent dreams and visions. Here is what God said to Moses, Aaron, and their sister Miriam, "And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream" Numbers 12:6.
Many of you reading this note right now are frequent dreamers. Even more surprising is that most of you frequent dreamers are not Christians. The reality is that your regular dreaming or seeing visions are clear-cut signs that you possess the gift of prophecy, whether you're a Christian or not. God has chosen this arm of prophecy to communicate about past, current, and, more importantly, future events. Clarity and accuracy of what God is speaking to you and through you will be predicated on you feeding your human Spirit via hearing and reading the word of God. "I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes. I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts" Psalm 119:99,100.
The word of God opens our spiritual eyes and understanding of the things of the spirit world. This explains why, when folks attempt to interpret their dreams from a realistic perspective, their dreams fail to make sense. God reveals the revelations of life's mysteries via our dreams, including pending future events in our dreams via His Spirit! Thus, if your continued approach to understanding your dreams is not from a spiritual position, you will consistently fail at the spiritual aspect of what is yet to be revealed physically that is being displayed in your dream spiritually. Again, let's review scripture to achieve a better understanding of this. Scripture says, "Eyes hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God has revealed them (spiritual things) unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God" 1 Corinthians 2:9-10.
Therefore, a person lacking spiritual understanding or insight is labeled or categorized as a natural man. Still, spiritual things or things of the spirit world are nonsense to them because they are not spiritual in their approach and understanding of such things!. Again, the scriptures confirm this in the following passage: "But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned" 1 Corinthians 2:14.
Our dreams are challenging to understand, not because they are spiritual but because there is a disconnect between our Spirit and the Spirit of God, attempting to reveal things of the Spirit world through our dreams. Of course, our spirits are spiritually malnourished due to a lack of spiritual food, which only comes through God's word!
Sometimes, when I interpret a dream for someone, they give me this puzzled look. This puzzled look is an evident expression of trying to comprehend spiritual things with a natural mindset. Thus, their conclusion of my interpretation is foolishness. As a reminder, the scripture clearly explained that such things could only be discerned by those who are SPIRITUAL! 1 Corinthians 2:15 brings it all together by concluding that the spiritual person judges ALL things, yet no man (natural) can judge him. In other words, the spiritual one assesses all matters from their origin, which is spiritual; thus, his judgment discernment will always be correct.
Again, God is speaking to many of you through the consistency of your dreams. Still, due to your commitment to what is seen or that which only relates to your five senses, you automatically dismiss the unseen (spiritual world). Scriptures warn us of this in the following, "While we look not at the things which are seen (our natural world), but at the things which are not seen (the spiritual world): for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal" 2 Corinthians 4:18.
I advise you to understand your dreams/visions and to saturate yourself with reading the word of God. Begin feeding your spirit man with sound teaching of the scriptures. I promise you and speak from experience that interpreting your dreams will almost be automatic whenever you experience them.
"For God speaks once, yea twice, yet man perceives it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, slumbering upon the bed; then he opens the ears of men and seals their instruction" Job 33:14-16.
