or observing a wedding.
Let me make this clear: any form of marriage in a dream immediately indicates a covenant or agreement, and for the most part, an evil one. I have discovered, in my many years of interpreting dreams, that such dreams are the source of unmarried people finding it difficult to get married, and married people having constant trouble in their marriage. Here is why these dreams create such challenges.
What a Spiritual Marriage Really Is
Being married in a dream reveals what the spirit world calls a spiritual marriage. The reality is that you are being married to a spirit. Whoever the person is that you're marrying in the dream, even if they appear to be your husband or wife, in most cases this is what is known as a masquerading spirit. A masquerading spirit is really a familiar spirit, and a familiar spirit is, in essence, a spirit that is very familiar with the dreamer and, by extension, the victim's family. In the Western world, we frequently refer to these spirits as incubus and succubus. In the Eastern world, these same spirits are referred to as a spirit husband and a spirit wife.
The Effect on Single People
Once a marriage takes place in the dream, in the spirit realm, the dreamer, if single in reality, will find it difficult to secure the right mate. This spirit, which also goes by the name spirit husband or spirit wife depending on the sex of the dreamer, will fight tooth and nail to keep away any prospective mates who would desire to marry the dreamer, because, unknown to the dreamer, the dreamer is already spiritually married to this spirit.
The evidence of this in the physical realm is that no matter how attractive or educated the victim may be, they will forever find it difficult to maintain relationships. It will appear as if they always encounter the same type of people, giving them the same old, depressing, failed relationship results.
If They Do Get Married
If the victim does manage to get married, I can assure you that the union will end in divorce, because this spirit will always manipulate the victim into marrying the wrong person to make the victim's life a living hell. This couple will never agree on anything. Either one or both parties will be overly jealous, selfish, and controlling, and verbally or physically abusive toward each other. The primary sign will be an obvious, blatant lack of respect from both parties. What is even more challenging is that if this spirit is not recognized and rebuked from this person's life, the victim will likely encounter several marriages without ever realizing the spirit behind their circumstances.
The Effect on Married People
For those who are already married, if you see yourself getting married in a dream, even if the person you're marrying in the dream is your current spouse, make no mistake: this is a spirit husband or spirit wife deceiving you in your dream. Once this marriage takes place in the dream, all hell will break loose in your real-life union.
The first sign will be unexplained anger toward each other, to the point that silly arguments erupt between the couple that make absolutely no sense, with neither party willing to compromise. This is usually followed by blatant infidelity and disrespect for the relationship. It will become almost impossible to forgive your partner, and for everything you know you're doing wrong in the relationship, particularly cheating on your partner, this spirit will see to it that you justify your behavior by blaming your partner as the cause of it.
Why Counseling Alone Fails
I have witnessed so many relationships go through the scenarios above. They visited religious and secular marriage counselors, prayed with their religious leaders, and still the relationship ended in divorce. While speaking with these people, my number one question was always: Did any of them seek the spiritual aspect of the relationship, rather than only observing the physical or external happenings?
This is where I become so confused. How could those who label themselves religious fail to address and focus on the spiritual aspect of such matters? This is just another example of religious people violating the principle behind Ephesians 6:12 and 2 Corinthians 4:18. Both scriptures insist that we place our energy and effort on unseen things.
How to Respond
The worst thing any of these couples could do to bring resolution to this evil is attack one another. Instead, they must collectively go on a five- to seven-day fast with intense prayer, praying specifically against the spirit husband or spirit wife. The couple must be in complete agreement in ridding their relationship of this stubborn spirit. Any sign that these stubborn spirits give, showing their victims are not on one accord with each other, becomes legal grounds for the spirit not only to remain in the lives of their victims, but to increase its efforts to destroy the couple's relationship.
