Respecting God's Appointed Times and Seasons

One of the clearest signs that you'll achieve future success or that your current challenges are just temporary is your genuine joy in seeing others succeed, even though you hope to be a candidate for success one day!

Those who enjoy seeing others succeed possess a different spirit. In fact, they are so distinctive in their outlook that, no matter how low they might be, just knowing others are progressing inspires them to believe that someday, with time and chance, they will also get the opportunity to move forward like those who have done so before.

King Solomon observed that success is often determined by chance rather than just strength, wisdom, or education. He noted that "the fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time" (Eccl. 9:1).

Hence, those destined for success tend to focus more on being in the right place at the right time rather than on what is fair or unfair or on being jealous of those who have moved ahead of them. This is why being at the back of the line matters very little to them. They are well aware that time and opportunity can appear at any moment to advance them. It is and will always be the agents of time and opportunity that will lead you to your prepared destiny.

I want to assure you that reading this article is no coincidence. According to Isaiah 46:10, God, who knows the end from the beginning, is aware of your designated times for promotion, restoration, and the fulfillment of His promises to you. As King Solomon noted, your progress and success are not solely determined by your skills or qualifications. Instead, they depend on aligning with what GOD HAS ALREADY PREPARED FOR YOU.

Many have made their education, accomplishments, or connections to influential people their gods, believing these are the true sources of their success. This explains why it can be so confusing for such individuals when someone with less education and no influential ties becomes their boss or surpasses them. It reminds us of King Solomon's wisdom that being in the right place at the right time, as initially set by God, matters more than all the education or other possessions one may have.

My advice to you is that this article isn't meant to discourage you from pursuing education or improving your skills. Instead, from a spiritual standpoint, focus on praying and seeking God's will in all aspects of your life. This is because, as stated in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, God has already determined the specific times and seasons for everything related to your life. Additionally, Ecclesiastes 3:12 emphasizes that God will make everything beautiful in His timing, not ours.

If you have understood what has been said so far, then you will agree that there is no need to envy those who were advanced ahead of you, whether in marriage, job promotion, or anything else. You now realize that for most of them, if they were moving according to God's set times for their lives, it was indeed their time and season. So rather than speaking negatively about others' promotions or complaining, rejoice with and for them, and ask God to help you be in the right place at the right time for the appointed times and seasons He has set just for you.
