Demonic influences will disrupt the divine order, replacing it with spiritual deception and manipulation, ultimately resulting in hardship in every area of life for that country. Although the Bible does not offer a specific checklist, it provides a contextual perspective on political leaders resorting to occult powers to gain power and the consequences that follow for the people of that country. Below is a summary of key indicators of a nation that has been spiritually enslaved due to witchcraft.

Deception as a Tool of Governance

The core of witchcraft is often defined as anything that leads a people astray through deception, causing a nation to "err," or go out of alignment with truth.

Manipulation, Intimidation, and Domination

These three traits, often called the "three-fold cord" of witchcraft, frequently replace genuine leadership. When a nation's systems rely on fear and lies to gain control, or coercive authority to silence dissent, it is viewed as operating in rebellion against God.

Widespread Rebellion and Stubbornness

Scripture explicitly links rebellion to witchcraft:

"For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft." (1 Samuel 15:23)

A nation characterized by persistent, stubborn defiance of moral or spiritual laws is often seen as being under this influence.

Spiritual Blindness and Heavy Atmospheres

A "bewitched" nation may experience a loss of spiritual discernment, where theology and intellectualism replace revelation. This often manifests as a spiritually heavy atmosphere, in which common practices and traditions carry an underlying sense of control.

Presence of Occult Strongholds

In regions or nations under such influence, these areas may also see high rates of unexplained mental illness, along with suicide.

Erosion of Truth and Rise of Deception

A nation under this influence frequently experiences a loss of truth, where lies, false prophecy, and deception are welcomed, and righteousness is actively opposed. There is always a proliferation of false prophets in a nation under witchcraft attacks.

The Future Generation

It is without a doubt that in a nation under spiritual oppression, the younger population will be severely attacked or indoctrinated by evil at a young age, through things like child abuse and trauma. This sets the stage for the child to mature into resentment, rejection, and bitterness. If they are blessed enough to escape this, the next stage will be mental illness, such as anxiety attacks, depression, and severe confusion, which will ultimately lead to rebellion and culminate in suicide.

Unnatural Division and Strife

Intense, unexplainable, and persistent social, political, and familial strife, leading to a complete breakdown of unity.

Colonialism and Imperialism

Scripture stands as clear evidence that when a nation is under witchcraft powers, foreigners will rise to great prominence and dominate, while the natives sit and watch helplessly as they're overrun in their own country (Deuteronomy 28:33, 43-44).

Inversion of Values

A culture where good is considered bad and bad is considered good, where a man can identify as a woman and a woman can identify as a man, accompanied by widespread moral decay and apathy.

Untimely Deaths

One of the most common signs of a nation under occult powers is an increase in deaths, particularly untimely deaths. This happens because political leaders make blood sacrifices to evil altars in exchange for votes and ultimately win the position they're vying for. A clear example is King Manasseh of Israel. He abandoned the God of Israel to serve idols (2 Kings 21:21). His decision as a political leader resulted in much bloodshed in the land (2 Kings 21:16).

Corruption Among Political and Religious Leaders

Scripture clearly shows that what affects the head will eventually impact the body. If a nation's leader has used witchcraft to secure an election, it means evil spirits have been unleashed in the land through blood sacrifices at evil altars. This corruption is not limited to political figures. Ezekiel 8 reveals that religious leaders have also become corrupt. The following scriptures highlight principles on how leadership influences the flow: Psalm 133:1-2, Matthew 26:31, Mark 14:27, and Zechariah 13:7.

If your country is approaching general elections, please pray for its stability and leadership. I also recommend praying for your family, asking for a spiritual shield of protection around them, especially to guard against untimely deaths caused by the increasing use of witchcraft in pursuit of political power.

Life Is Not Unfair—It Is Honest

Most people hate the realities life hands them. What is even more interesting is that many chronically complain about the unfairness of life while completely ignoring the fact that they are often the primary
contributors to the very outcomes they consider unfair.

So, what is this reality of life?

To understand the reality of life, we must first unlearn what it is not. Throughout history, people have repeated the familiar phrase, "Life is unfair." While this statement may offer temporary comfort, it often becomes a convenient way to shift accountability and responsibility away from ourselves. It allows us to blame circumstances rather than examine the choices, habits, relationships, and mindsets that continue to produce the same undesirable results.

The truth is that life is not primarily about fairness or unfairness. It is about cause and effect. Life continually reflects back to us the consequences of what we consistently think, tolerate, practice, defend, and repeat. Unfortunately, many refuse to accept this reality. Instead, they continue surrounding themselves with the same people, following the same unproductive advice, making the same decisions, and maintaining the same destructive habits—only to wonder why the results never change.

Life is remarkably honest. It simply returns what we continually invest into it.

What you tolerate today becomes your normal tomorrow. What you repeatedly practice eventually becomes your reality. What you continually defend will often become your destiny. If you desire different results, you must first change the ingredients that are producing your current ones. Results do not change by wishing for them; they change when the factors that create them are changed.

As 2026 approaches, ask yourself an honest question:

Will you continue carrying the same attitudes, the same unhealthy relationships, the same reluctance to change, the same unforgiveness, the same disappointments, and the same destructive patterns that produced the frustrations of 2025?

If so, why should you expect a different outcome?

Perhaps what you have called unfairness is actually truth confronting you. Truth is showing you that the changes you long to see in your circumstances must first begin within you. Lasting transformation has always been born from accountability, personal responsibility, and the courage to change.

Albert Einstein is widely credited with saying, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Whether or not those were his exact words, the principle remains profoundly true.

Life is not inherently unfair.

Life is honest.

It faithfully reflects the seeds we sow, the decisions we make, the company we keep, and the standards we accept. When we change those things, life begins to produce different outcomes.

The question is not whether life has been unfair to you.

The real question is:

What are you willing to change so that your future no longer resembles your past?

How to Test the Spirits

 One of the first realities we must recognize as followers of Jesus Christ is that our priorities and focus
must shift from the physical to the spiritual. The reason is simple: our assessments and judgments should be governed by spiritual discernment rather than by what is merely presented to our natural eyes. As believers, we are called to look beyond the surface and discern the root of a matter instead of being deceived by its outward appearance.

The Apostle Paul emphasized this truth in his letter to the Church at Ephesus:

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12)

This verse makes it clear that the Christian's true conflict is not with people but with unseen spiritual forces that oppose God's purposes. Paul describes an organized kingdom of darkness made up of principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness operating in the unseen realm. Because our battle is spiritual, God has provided spiritual armor, instructing believers to "put on the whole armor of God" so that we may stand against the schemes of the devil.

Understanding this truth provides the proper foundation for the Apostle John's instruction:

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1)

How Do We Test the Spirits?

According to Scripture, believers must approach every person, teaching, behavior, doctrine, experience, or spiritual manifestation from a biblical perspective rather than from emotion or natural observation. The first step is to examine the fruit that is consistently being produced. Once the fruit is identified, it must be compared with the teachings of Scripture to determine whether it agrees with the character and nature of God.

For example, consider a person who continually lies. The observable fruit is consistent deception. According to Ephesians 6:12, however, our battle is not against flesh and blood. Therefore, while the individual is responsible for his or her actions, the believer is instructed to recognize a spiritual dimension behind persistent sinful behavior. Scripture illustrates this reality by referring to a lying spirit in 1 Kings 22:21-23. The objective is not to hate the individual but to discern the spiritual influence operating behind the consistent fruit being produced.

This is why biblical knowledge is absolutely essential. A believer cannot properly test the spirits without using the Scriptures as the ultimate standard of truth. Personal opinions, emotions, traditions, popularity, religious experiences, or ecclesiastical titles can never replace the authority of God's Word.

Consistency Reveals the Source

Consistency is another essential principle in spiritual discernment. Spirits are consistent because they consistently express their nature. A lying spirit continually produces deception. A jealous spirit continually produces jealousy. A spirit of division continually produces strife. Likewise, the Spirit of God consistently produces righteousness, truth, holiness, conviction, love, peace, and obedience to God's Word.

As it relates to human beings, spiritual influences seek expression through the heart and mind. Over time, a person who continually yields to those influences begins to consistently manifest their characteristics. The individual may not even recognize the spiritual source of what is being expressed, yet the fruit eventually reveals the root.

Jesus taught this very principle in Matthew 7:16-20:

"Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." (Matthew 7:16-20)

Jesus was teaching that the true nature or source of anything is ultimately revealed by what it consistently produces. Fruit exposes the root. A tree cannot continually produce fruit that contradicts its nature. The same principle applies to spiritual discernment. A spirit that is from God will agree with the truth of Scripture, exalt Jesus Christ, produce godly character, and bear righteous fruit. Conversely, a spirit that consistently promotes deception, rebellion, immorality, false doctrine, or anything contrary to God's Word cannot be from God, regardless of how convincing, charismatic, intelligent, influential, or supernatural it may appear.

The Bible Is the Standard by Which All Things Are Tested

To "test the spirits" means evaluating every teaching against the clear and unchanging truths of Scripture. Every doctrine preached from a pulpit, every message shared online, every revelation, prophecy, dream, vision, miracle, or supernatural experience must be measured by the written Word of God. The Apostle Paul reinforced this responsibility when he wrote:

"Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

Notice that Paul did not tell believers to accept everything they heard simply because it appeared spiritual or was spoken by a respected individual. Instead, he instructed the Church to test everything and hold on to only what could withstand biblical examination.

The Berean Example

The Bereans provide one of the greatest biblical examples of this principle. Although the Apostle Paul himself preached to them, they did not blindly accept his teaching simply because of his reputation or apostolic authority. Instead, Luke records:

"These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." (Acts 17:11)

Remarkably, the Holy Spirit commended the Bereans not for doubting Paul but for verifying his teaching through the Scriptures. This demonstrates an important biblical principle: no preacher, prophet, Apostle, teacher, pastor, bishop, or spiritual leader is above the authority of God's Word. If the Bereans searched the Scriptures daily to verify the teaching of the Apostle Paul, how much more should believers today examine every teaching they hear?

Likewise, all spiritual encounters, whether natural or supernatural, must be examined in light of God's Word. We live in a time when many claim divine authority while introducing teachings, revelations, visions, dreams, prophecies, and miraculous experiences that extend beyond or even contradict Scripture. The Bible commands believers not to accept such claims blindly, but to examine them carefully. Satan is capable of deception, and Scripture repeatedly warns that false prophets, false teachers, and false apostles will arise.

Therefore, the believer's confidence should never rest upon signs, wonders, personalities, titles, popularity, or emotional experiences. Our confidence must rest upon the unchanging truth of God's written Word. The written Word of God remains the final authority in every matter of faith and practice. It is the believer's measuring rod, the standard by which truth is separated from error, and the only infallible guide for discerning whether a spirit is truly from God.

Conclusion

To "test the spirits" is to compare every teaching, doctrine, prophecy, vision, dream, miracle, spiritual manifestation, and personal experience with the Scriptures. It is to judge the fruit, discern the root, and allow the Bible, not emotions, personalities, traditions, or supernatural experiences, to render the final verdict.

A spiritually mature believer does not believe everything that appears supernatural. Rather, a spiritually mature believer submits everything to the authority of God's Word.

The Bereans searched the Scriptures.
Paul commanded believers to test all things.
John instructed believers to test the spirits.
Jesus taught that fruit reveals the root.

Together, these passages establish one unmistakable truth: the Bible is God's final authority for discerning truth from error.

"Life Is Happening for You, Not to You: What Joseph's Story Teaches About Divine Preparation"

 

"Understanding That Life Is Happening for You, Not to You"

"He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him." (Psalm 105:17-19)

God tests and prepares His servants before fulfilling the destiny He has spoken over their lives.

If someone had asked me twenty years ago, "Do you see yourself becoming a pastor?" I would have confidently answered, "Absolutely not."

Yet today, as I look back over my life, I clearly see the invisible hand of God directing every step of my journey. What once seemed like random disappointments, painful setbacks, unanswered questions, and unexpected detours were, in reality, divine preparations leading me to a place I never imagined I would be.

One of the greatest lessons I have learned is this: God often prepares us for a destiny we never planned for ourselves.

The Bible tells the remarkable story of Joseph, one of Jacob's twelve sons (Genesis 37-50). As a young man, Joseph received dreams from God that revealed he would one day become a great leader. However, while those dreams showed him where he was going, they never revealed how he would get there.

Joseph's dreams never mentioned betrayal.
They never mentioned slavery.
They never mentioned false accusations.
They never mentioned prison.

Nor did they reveal the loneliness, humiliation, confusion, and years of waiting that would precede his promotion.

This is often how God works. Sometimes God gives us a glimpse of our future, not to explain every detail, but to give us enough hope to endure the difficult seasons that lie ahead. Those moments of encouragement become the fuel that keeps us moving forward when life becomes exhausting, confusing, frustrating, and even embarrassing.

Looking back, we eventually realize that every stage of the journey was preparing us for what we would become.

Betrayal by His Brothers

Joseph's preparation began with his brothers' jealousy. Because their father favored Joseph, his brothers hated him. Their hatred became so intense that they plotted to kill him before eventually selling him into slavery in Egypt (Genesis 37:18-28).

What seemed like the end of Joseph's life was actually the beginning of God's plan.

Faithfulness in Potiphar's House

Potiphar purchased Joseph, an Egyptian officer, and made him overseer of his household (Genesis 39:1-6). His integrity, diligence, and excellent spirit caused him to prosper so greatly that the Bible says Potiphar entrusted everything he owned to Joseph. Scripture tells us that Potiphar "knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat" (Genesis 39:6).

Joseph's faithfulness during obscurity prepared him for leadership.

Then came another unexpected trial.

Potiphar's wife falsely accused Joseph after he refused her immoral advances. Although Joseph had done what was right before God, he was imprisoned for a crime he never committed (Genesis 39:7-20).

Prison: Another Classroom

Yet even prison became another classroom in God's preparation. The keeper of the prison recognized Joseph's character and entrusted him with overseeing the other prisoners (Genesis 39:21-23). Once again, adversity became an opportunity for God to develop leadership, wisdom, patience, and faithfulness within him.

While imprisoned, Joseph interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh's chief butler and baker (Genesis 40). At the time, those interpretations seemed to benefit someone else more than Joseph himself.

Years later, however, that very gift would open the door to Pharaoh's palace.

From Prison to the Palace

When Pharaoh dreamed troubling dreams that none of Egypt's wise men could interpret, Joseph was remembered, summoned from prison, and stood before the nation's most powerful ruler (Genesis 41). By faithfully using the gift God had given him, Joseph was elevated from a prison cell to become governor over all Egypt.

Notice what Joseph never had access to during the process: an explanation. He never saw the betrayal coming. He never knew prison would lead to a palace. He simply stayed faithful in Potiphar's house, faithful in prison, and faithful with the gift God had given him. God connected the dots that Joseph could not connect for himself.

This is the same truth I have come to embrace about my own life. Twenty years ago I could not have explained how the disappointments, delays, and detours I walked through would prepare me to shepherd others. I only understood the process in reverse, the same way Joseph did when he stood before his brothers and said, "Ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good" (Genesis 50:20).

Life is not happening to you. It is happening for you. The betrayal, the delay, the waiting room, and the prison seasons are not proof that God has forgotten you. They are the classroom where He is forming you for a calling you may not yet see.

If you are in a season that feels like Joseph's pit, Potiphar's house, or the prison, do not despise it. Stay faithful where you are. God is not wasting your process. He is preparing your palace.

Understanding the Biblical Significance of Roads, Paths, and Journeys in Dreams

Throughout Scripture, God occasionally communicated through dreams to reveal His plans, provide
warnings, offer guidance, or disclose future events (Genesis 37; Daniel 2; Matthew 2:12-13; Acts 2:17). While not every dream originates from God, there are times when dreams can provide spiritual insight into areas that deserve our prayerful attention.

• A rough or difficult road may reflect a season of hardship, testing, or opposition.

• A road filled with obstacles or barriers may symbolize difficulties preventing progress toward your goals.

• A dead-end road may suggest that your present direction requires reconsideration.

• A bright, well-lit road may indicate clarity, understanding, and divine direction.

• A dark road may symbolize uncertainty, hidden dangers, or areas where additional wisdom is needed.

Such dreams should encourage us to seek God for understanding rather than producing fear.

Dreams Reveal What Requires Prayer

One principle I have observed throughout Scripture is that God often reveals spiritual matters before they become visible in the natural world.

For this reason, when a dream highlights a recurring problem, obstacle, or warning, it should motivate us to pray rather than panic.

Likewise, when God reveals encouragement, direction, or promise in a dream, we should respond by praying in agreement with His will.

As believers, our confidence should always rest in God rather than in dreams themselves.

The Word of God Is Our Greatest Guide

While dreams may sometimes provide insight, the Word of God remains our primary source of truth and direction.

David declared:

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."
(Psalm 119:105)

Without God's Word, we walk in spiritual darkness. His Word illuminates our path, exposes deception, and guides us toward His purpose for our lives.

Every dream must ultimately be tested against the Scriptures.

Common Dream Symbols

Hills and Mountains

Dreams involving steep hills or mountains may symbolize significant challenges, perseverance, or difficult seasons that require faith and endurance.

Bright or Dark Roads

A bright road may suggest clarity, revelation, and confidence in God's direction.

A dark road may indicate uncertainty, lack of understanding, or the need to seek God's wisdom before making important decisions.

How Should We Respond to Dreams?

James 1:5 reminds us:

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

If you believe God has given you encouragement or direction through a dream, pray that His perfect will would be fulfilled in your life.

If the dream appears to be a warning, pray against every plan of the enemy and commit your life to God's protection and guidance.

Remember, God has not given us dreams to produce fear but to draw us closer to Him.

Protect me from deception, direct my steps, remove every obstacle that opposes Your perfect will, and establish me in the destiny You have prepared for me. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

In my interactions with many individuals, a recurring concern arises: their inability to understand why their diligently acquired possessions often elude them. Often, these individuals approach me with a plea to offer up prayers on their behalf, requesting that they be bestowed with financial abundance and liberty.

Before I go into today's teaching, I want you to know that experiencing financial losses does not necessarily mean you need a miraculous economic intervention. Instead, the root of your problem may lie in the fact that you are under attack from the spirit of poverty. This spirit is responsible for sabotaging your spiritual blessings, preventing them from manifesting as physical blessings. It is not that God has not blessed you. Instead, you may be unaware of the presence of this spirit that is consuming your spiritual blessings and hindering your physical blessings.

According to scripture, God has already blessed us with all spiritual blessings:

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ." (Ephesians 1:3)

Everything is already in place to succeed in all areas of our lives, including our finances. Satan and his demons are spirits who understand spiritual laws and know that the spirit realm is the origin of all things. Therefore, if they can disrupt or misplace your spiritual blessings, it will result in physical losses.

Specific dreams indicate you are under attack from the spirit of poverty. These dreams reveal how the enemy is stealing from you spiritually, leading to real-life financial losses.

Dream Signs of the Spirit of Poverty

Poverty and Lack Imagery

If you often dream of walking barefoot, wearing worn-out clothing or shoes, or of yourself or others constantly begging or seeking financial assistance, it could signify a spiritual attack from the spirit of poverty. Please note these dreams, as they may reveal deeper issues.

Reckless Spending

Dreams where you are shopping or spending money lavishly indicate that this spirit influences you to spend your money foolishly and wastefully. The consequences of such dreams can be seen when a person struggles to account for their spending and has nothing to show for their transactions.

False Wealth

Some dreams may appear promising on the surface but, when analyzed spiritually, reveal that the enemy is robbing you of your financial blessings and causing economic losses. Dreams of selling your possessions or finding strangers in your home may point to impending financial ruin, such as foreclosure or the loss of valuable assets that would be difficult to recover. Dreams where you cannot access a bank, or the bank is closed, symbolize financial blockages and restrictions. The manifestation of such dreams would be when people owe you money but cannot pay, or you cannot collect on a financial settlement or judgment.

Missing or Hidden Money

If you dream of losing money from your wallet, purse, or bag, or if you hide money in a dream and it goes missing when you try to retrieve it, it indicates that the spirit of poverty is involved in projects that will not yield any returns. Missing money in dreams signifies that this spirit is stealing your spiritual and financial blessings, preventing them from manifesting in your life.

Delayed or Withheld Finances

Dreams where your finances are withheld or delayed signify a delay in your real-life finances. For example, if you dream of being at an ATM machine and it malfunctions, or the power goes out when you try to withdraw money, it indicates that the spirit of poverty is delaying or hindering your spiritual finances, which will result in financial losses if not addressed.

Pests and Missing Property

Dreams of rats, cockroaches, and missing properties also indicate the presence of the spirit of poverty in your life. Dreams where money is stolen, or you find yourself picking up cash, coins, silver, or gold, suggest the influence of a pauper spirit supervised by a ruling spirit of poverty.

Money From Strangers

If someone gives you money in a dream, be cautious and discerning. While some dreams of receiving money may indicate a genuine financial increase, others can be deceptive. If the person giving you money is someone you do not know, or is an enemy in reality, it is an evil dream, and the money represents cursed finances. Similarly, if the money is old, dirty, torn, or a mixture of foreign currency, it signifies confusion and disorder in your finances. These dreams require immediate spiritual resistance and cancellation upon waking.

How to Respond

Suppose you experience repetitive dreams related to these financial losses. In that case, it is essential to engage in fasting, as led by the Holy Spirit, and pray with relevant scriptures to break the curse of poverty over your life. Scriptures such as Philippians 4:19, Psalm 115:14, and Deuteronomy 28:12 can be used to declare God's provision and blessings in your finances.

Based on spiritual laws, the spirit of poverty can only access your life through a covenant. Unfortunately, most folks are unaware of these evil agreements. Therefore, renouncing and revoking any evil demonic covenants in your life, whether generational curses or established through dreams, is crucial. Ask God to reinstate His original plan for your life, particularly in your finances, in the name of Jesus Christ.

It is crucial to keep in mind that the meaning of dream symbols can be influenced by factors such as one's cultural background, profession, lifestyle, and religion. Therefore, relying solely on the Holy Spirit's guidance and direction is essential when interpreting them.

The Thermostat of the Ungrateful

Ungrateful individuals can often be remarkable yet difficult to understand. If you've interacted with such
individuals, you've likely noticed their insatiable desire for more, their lack of appreciation for what they already have or what others have done for them, and their sense of entitlement to others' resources and services.

I have titled this lesson "The Thermostat of the Ungrateful." I chose this title because there is a clear connection between a thermostat and the mentality of an ungrateful individual. A thermostat is a regulating device that regulates the air temperature in any air-controlled environment. If the thermostat is broken, the air conditioning system loses its ability to control the air in that environment.

Before I proceed, I would like to clarify that there is a significant distinction between being ungrateful and simply not expressing gratitude. People have different ways of communicating their appreciation, which may differ from how we would express gratitude. Of course, this is acceptable because we are all different. However, an ungrateful person takes things for granted and possesses an almost demonic sense of entitlement. They are intoxicated with selfishness, negativity, and chronic complaining, and they are always critical of others.

Shame: The Broken Thermostat

Let's revisit the comparison between a thermostat and an unappreciative person's mindset. As previously mentioned, the thermostat manages the air in an air-controlled environment. However, the thermostat for the ungrateful individual would be their "shame." You may be wondering how shame is supposed to act as a thermostat for the ungrateful individual. Let's define the word shame, and it will eventually make sense. Shame is a painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior.

If an ungrateful person's shame mechanism isn't functioning correctly, they may lose the ability to regulate their behavior in certain areas of life. This can lead them to repeatedly ask for favors without considering your feelings, always borrowing and begging from you. In addition, they may become defensive if you confront them about their insensitive behavior towards you. Nevertheless, the most challenging aspect of dealing with such a person is their annoying, arrogant sense of entitlement.

Two Pillars: Jealousy and Deception

As a counselor, I either meet such people or counsel those who have encountered them. Amazingly, I have discovered two predominant qualities in most ungrateful people that have become pillars in their foundation. The first quality is jealousy. Yes, this may seem odd, but indulge me for a moment.

Ungrateful individuals tend to unconsciously direct their negative behavior toward those they envy. This is their way of punishing those individuals for their success. Therefore, whenever they require resources or assistance, they seek help from those they envy. However, if you refuse their request, they will politely accept it but may speak ill of you behind your back to mutual friends, portraying you as unkind, selfish, and mean.

This leads to my second observation of ungrateful people. Ungrateful people often possess the trait of being skilled dissemblers. A dissembler is someone who hides their true thoughts or emotions. In simpler terms, a dissembler is a deceitful person.

They will go to any lengths to achieve their goals, despite their broken thermostat of shame. Their tool of choice is flattery and playing the victim to manipulate you. They always paint a negative picture of their circumstances and claim the world is against them, conveniently leaving out any mention of those who helped them. Then, they will praise you, saying how generous and helpful you are, while hiding their true feelings of jealousy to get something from you.

I believe such people are covertly disrespectful, with a mild hint of bullying their victims. In other words, due to their entitlement complex, they will subtly put you in an uncomfortable position through another one of their requested favors, one that would be almost impossible for you to refuse. Despite inconveniencing you, they will shower you with compliments, such as "I really appreciate you" and "I don't know what I would do without you," to persuade you to grant them the favor.

Scripture describes this same dissembling quality:

"He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him; When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart. Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole congregation." (Proverbs 26:24-26)

Thirteen Signs of an Ungrateful Person

1. They are never satisfied with what you've done for them.
2. They take advantage of your kindness.
3. They are always negative, critical, and finding fault with others.
4. They are calculating and deceptive.
5. They take you for granted.
6. They unashamedly express a sense of entitlement.
7. They consistently blame others for their problems.
8. They are challenging to work with and can be uncooperative.
9. They are excellent at flattering you when they need favors.
10. They have a victim mentality.
11. They do not care about your feelings.
12. They are master manipulators.
13. They disrespectfully violate your boundaries.

How to Manage Ungrateful People

Addressing the issue is usually recommended when someone's behavior is problematic. However, ungrateful individuals often twist the situation and portray you as the unappreciative one, despite all you've done for them. But if that approach doesn't work, setting boundaries and saying no when necessary is essential. These individuals can be persistent and shameless in their requests, so please be firm with your decision. If boundaries and saying no still don't work, the best course of action may be to ignore them entirely. Being bold and firm in your efforts toward these people is essential.

If all attempts to resolve this issue have been unsuccessful, it may be in your best interest to permanently distance yourself from these individuals. Evidently, they are not true friends and are only interested in using you.

Packaging vs. Content: Why Experience Is the Best Teacher

Most things can be misleading because of their packaging. Beautiful packaging can hide terrible content,
and unpleasant packaging can contain something beautiful.

Many of us can agree that what we see on the outside- the packaging- can sometimes be very different from what's inside. Our mistakes in life often stem from accepting things at face value and foolishly believing that appearances accurately represent what's inside. Unfortunately, we live in a world where honesty has been replaced with dishonesty. Experience has taught us a valuable lesson: look before we leap.

Please remember, not everything that glitters is gold.

Carefully examine anything that seems like a fresh start: a great deal, a new relationship, a job offer, or anything else. Your responsibility is to do thorough research, ask questions, and focus on substance rather than appearance. In the end, you'll have to deal with the substance, not the temporary, attractive packaging.

Beware of Sheep's Clothing

Jesus warned His disciples that deceptive packaging is not a modern problem. It has always existed:

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?" (Matthew 7:15-16)

Jesus gave us a principle that, if followed, will allow us to recognize content over packaging: fruit does not lie. The fruit of anything is a telltale sign not only of its contents, but of what actually produced it. An apple can only come from an apple tree. The fruit is simply the evidence of what tree produced it, regardless of how the tree was decorated.

The Lord Looks at the Heart

Man judges by packaging because packaging is all man can see at first glance. God does not operate that way:

"For the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7)

This is the discernment we are called to grow into. It is unnatural to look past a beautiful package and ask what is actually inside it. Our flesh wants to trust what looks good. But if God judges by the heart and not the wrapping, then the mature believer must learn to do the same, in relationships, in opportunities, and in the people we let close to us.

Why Experience Teaches What Warnings Cannot

I don't know who you are, but you must understand this. Your decision to follow the packaging will force you to deal with unnecessary content. Unfortunately, most folks tolerate the undesired content, hoping they'll be exposed to the packaging again rather than the truth they already uncovered.

Warnings can inform you, but experience is what convinces you. This is why the same mistake often has to cost us something before we finally believe it was a mistake. Scripture describes this pattern plainly:

"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." (Proverbs 14:12)

"The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going." (Proverbs 14:15)

Notice that the prudent man is not smarter than the simple man by nature. He simply looks well to his going. He has learned, likely through experience, to slow down and examine before he commits. That skill is rarely taught in a lecture. It is usually earned through a disappointment we did not see coming.

My mother repeatedly told me, "A little can tell you what a lot will be like." A small sample of someone's character, a small inconsistency in someone's story, a small red flag in an opportunity, is rarely isolated. It is usually a preview, not an exception.

Test the Fruit, Not the Wrapper

Scripture instructs us not to accept everything simply because it looks or sounds good:

"Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

Proving something takes time, patience, and observation. It means watching what a person, opportunity, or relationship consistently produces over time, rather than what it promises in the moment. Packaging is a snapshot. Fruit is a pattern. A pattern cannot be faked forever.

My words of wisdom to you on this beautiful morning: focus on the fruit produced by that person, place, or thing. Fruit is the result of a seed. What someone consistently produces reveals who they really are and warns you that their packaging is a mere distraction from their contents.

Experience will always be one of the best teachers you'll ever have. The only choice you have is whether you learn its lessons the easy way, through Scripture and the wisdom of others who paid the price before you, or the hard way, by unwrapping the package yourself.

A Word for Someone: Release to Receive

 Something beautiful, and very much unexpected, is about to unfold for someone reading this. The Lord
said to tell you: do not hold on to more than you need. Instead, share it, especially with those in a lower position than yourself. And this assistance cannot be reserved only for those who can one day return the favor. It must also reach those who have been unfair to you.

He said to tell you that, as unconventional as this instruction may sound, its spiritual weight is real. Obedience will produce more of what you are about to receive. Disobedience will leave you in a far worse place than you currently stand.

Your outcome will rest on a principle Scripture has already settled:

"There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself." (Proverbs 11:24-25)

This word is simply another confirmation of what the Lord has already been asking of you: release into the lives of others, so that He can channel increase back into yours.

God watches over His word to perform it, and He has promised that His word will not return to Him empty:

"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11)

What He has spoken over you will come to pass. Your part is simply to obey, because Scripture is clear that obedience carries more weight than sacrifice ever could:

"Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice." (1 Samuel 15:22)

Not All Evil Spirits Are the Same

 Jesus Christ made a profound statement to His disciples regarding the invisible agents of evil that
consistently attack us. His statement made it clear that not all evil spirits are of the same rank or on the same level, and they must be handled differently.

Jesus made this statement while advising His disciples, who were baffled as to why Jesus could cast an evil spirit out of a particular person when they could not do the same:

"Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting." (Matthew 17:21)

The Torment of Panic and Anxiety

Today, I want to talk about a set of evil spirits typical among all humans: the tormenting spirits of panic and anxiety attacks. I have suffered from such attacks and eventually became very frustrated after several attempts to rid myself of them, but they would still visit me. For some, the experience comes as a sudden and overwhelming fear, an abnormal fear of dying, a fear of enclosed environments, or an abnormal fear of speaking in public. Any setting that creates abnormal, unexplained fear falls under panic or anxiety attacks.

What Medication Cannot Reach

I am confident that many of you have seen your local doctors. They, of course, would have prescribed Medication such as Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin, or other antidepressants meant to either prevent the attacks or lessen their frequency. I am also confident that those who took this Medication would say, for the most part, that it made them sluggish and sleepy. Yet, inevitably, you still had your bouts with the unbearable, disgusting feeling of anxiety and panic.

As in so many of my articles, my knowledge of the spiritual realm and my firm belief in it led me to a different conclusion. I found that panic and anxiety attacks, in their original state, are spiritual. I am suggesting that they are actual spirits, a legion of demonic spirits that systematically launch an attack on their victims to disable them, particularly in an area of progress or potential development. The victim feels a sense of overwhelming fear, their mind racing with the worst possible thoughts regarding the area they are being attacked in, accompanied in most cases by profuse sweating, fatigue, confusion, and a sense of being immobile. As a result, the victim shuts down and is discouraged from progressing in whatever area they were attempting to advance.

The Boy Who Threw Himself Into the Fire

Matthew 17:14-21 records that a certain man came kneeling before Jesus, begging Him to have mercy on his son:

"Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water." (Matthew 17:15)

Just as in today's world, we see and observe such occurrences as something purely physical, and dismiss or never entertain the thought that what is actually happening is spiritual.

The man explained to Jesus that he had already brought his son to Jesus' disciples, who also failed to help the boy. Jesus eventually healed him, to the amazement of the disciples, so much so that they asked Him privately how He had been able to heal the young man when they could not.

"This Kind Goeth Not Out But by Prayer and Fasting"

Jesus' response teaches us, the readers of this story, just as it taught His disciples in that moment, that the young man's physical behavior was the result of what had been orchestrated by evil spirits. As long as his symptoms were addressed only from a physical standpoint, failure was inevitable for anyone attempting to secure relief for him.

Jesus wrapped up the entire ordeal with the phrase "this kind." In essence, He was speaking of a presence, an entity, that is very much real but invisible to the human eye. Its purpose is to mislead us into focusing on the visible instead of the invisible force operating behind and influencing human behavior.

Detecting Monitoring Spirits in Your Dreams

Before I proceed with today's teaching on detecting monitoring spirits in our dreams, I want to mention a
strange but expected dream I had some time ago.

Why did I mention that the dream was anticipated? Because whenever the kingdom of darkness is revealed through God's knowledge, I can assure you that a response will follow, typically initiated on a spiritual level through our dreams.

The Dream

In my dream last night, I was in what looked like an abandoned area. With me was a white man who seemed to be a pilot friend. In this dream, he was running away from a cat that was unusually aggressive toward him. The cat was relentless in chasing my friend.

Strangely enough, while I was watching this unfold, there was a light green vehicle about thirty feet diagonally across from where I was standing. This car was filled with about three cats and what appeared to be a brownish-looking dog. The cat that was pursuing my friend saw me. When he saw me, he stopped attacking my friend and began following me. As with all my dreams, there was no fear, nor did I attempt to move. However, for some reason, there was an invisible barrier around me that this vicious cat could not get beyond to attack me. The cat became even more aggressive, almost behaving like a human being in a rage.

The cats in the car became upset and began to behave aggressively. They eventually jumped out of the car window, approaching me with rage and aggression. Suddenly, I heard a voice, almost as if it came from within me, that said, "Say in the name of Jesus." Like clockwork, I said to this cat, "In the name of Jesus." When I said that, it was as if the cat was electrocuted. It fell to the ground, its body convulsing uncontrollably, and it ended up as if in a state of rigor mortis.

As the other cats were about to leap toward me, I again said, "In the name of Jesus," repeating this statement, and they all fell to the ground, side by side, displaying uncontrollable convulsions, and eventually died.

What the Cats Represent

These cats symbolize monitoring spirits sent by witchcraft practitioners to track and record their victims. The information gathered from their victims is used for future attacks. The victim, of course, has no knowledge of this, because they lack understanding in this area of spiritual warfare.

These cats can also be witches attacking their victims in their dreams. If you dream of cats watching you or following you, the dream indicates the presence of monitoring spirits in your life. If you dream of birds chasing you, moving in a circular motion over your head, or even standing still and watching you, the dream reveals the same thing. This also explains why your enemy seems to know your every move.

Signs of a Monitoring Spirit While Awake

In many cases, people encounter monitoring spirits but dismiss these experiences as their minds playing tricks. For instance, many have likely experienced lying in bed or preparing to sleep when they feel a sensation of being held down or pressed upon. In such moments, they are fully awake, perhaps with the TV on or a spouse nearby, yet they find themselves unable to speak or move, almost as if paralyzed.

Some feel the presence of someone or something entering the room. Often, they notice their hair standing on end, the atmosphere becoming heavy, or a sense of claustrophobia taking hold. Others see dark shadows or images flashing by in their homes or specific places. In extreme cases, they might see a manifestation of a tall, dark man standing at a distance, more like a silhouette than a person, standing silently. In another instance, a beautiful woman may appear, mostly silent.

I have also encountered situations where electronics in someone's home malfunctioned or lost power. For example, someone is sure they left a particular light, fan, or air conditioner on, only to wake up and find it off, even though they hadn't turned it off and are the only resident of the home.

Signs of a Monitoring Spirit Around Your Property

The sudden appearance of strange animals, like cats, blackbirds, and crows that mysteriously show up on or near your property, is likely a sign of a monitoring spirit. A sudden infestation of roaches, rats, centipedes, or other insects also indicates a monitoring spirit's presence. One of the more obvious signs is seeing an owl during the daytime. If a long-legged bird, such as a crane, appears on your property or a nearby one and stares at you, it might be a sign as well. Similarly, some birds or cats might seem to follow you around, always watching, no matter where you go.

A Warning About False Prophets

Be cautious of false prophets who use monitoring spirits to deceive people. These spirits, often called mediums, observe and watch those they are assigned to monitor. If you suddenly notice an infestation of pests, such as roaches, ants, rats, insects, or snakes in your home, it could be a sign that you are dealing with monitoring spirits. These spirits can gather information about their victims through divination and use it to trick them into believing they are receiving messages from the Lord.

How to Respond

Cancel any dreams where animals or people are following, chasing, or watching you. Pray for God to bring spiritual blindness to all monitoring spirits in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Additionally, pray the full armor of God over yourself and all that pertains to you.

Witchcraft in Your Dreams: Animal Attacks, Chases, and What They Reveal

Individuals under the influence of witchcraft often experience dreams in which they are pitted against challenging foes, whether
human adversaries, animals, or otherworldly creatures.

In intense witchcraft attacks, the individual might have recurring dreams of animals, specifically dogs, attacking or attempting to attack them. These dream attacks are caused by evil spirits that take the form of animals or other creatures and battle the victim's spirit. As a result, the victim may feel drained and fatigued even after a seemingly restful night's sleep.

What the Intensity of the Attack Reveals

Remember that the intensity of the challenges you face in your dreams can symbolize the unexpected difficulties you may encounter in real life. For instance, if you dream about being attacked by a group of unfamiliar men without much resistance, it could represent significant issues in your waking life. These problems may extend beyond your daily routine and have more severe consequences, such as waking up to a fire in your home, being involved in a severe car accident, or experiencing a sudden breakup in a seemingly stable relationship.

Why You Don't Fight Back

When you examine the dream further, note that the victim doesn't seem to fight back against the attacker. Instead, they appear to give in to the attack. Pay close attention to this.

The victim in this dream represents their human spirit or soul rather than their physical body. This suggests their spiritual source is vulnerable to the various spiritual forces working against them. According to spiritual law:

"If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small." (Proverbs 24:10)

Therefore, the strange men appearing in the dream are actually evil spirits of misfortune, stagnation, poverty, and divorce, among others, overpowering the human spirit and, ultimately, affecting one's life.

Why the Attack Has a Legal Basis

Our spiritual life impacts our daily material life. Witchcraft aims to weaken a person spiritually, ultimately affecting their daily life. It involves engaging in rituals and ceremonies as demanded by evil spirits to battle someone spiritually. This typically involves making a spiritual agreement with the spirits, often called an evil covenant.

Once a covenant is established, even evil spirits must follow the rules governing the spiritual realm when interacting with their victims. No matter how powerful an evil spirit may be, it must have a valid reason to attack its victim. The law is clear:

"As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come." (Proverbs 26:2)

Therefore, these spirits closely monitor their victims' lives on a spiritual level, paying attention to unconfessed sin, ancestral covenants, curses, or any actions that go against God's law. If you suspect witchcraft is affecting your life, carefully evaluate what is happening, especially your dreams, in light of these spiritual principles.

Running From Your Pursuers

People often dream of running away from others, whether individuals, groups, animals, or unknown assailants. Applying biblical principles, we can interpret these dreams as reflections of the dreamer's lifestyle and behavior:

"The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion." (Proverbs 28:1)

The dreamer should consider why they were running from their pursuers. If they genuinely embody righteousness, why didn't they stand and face their opponents instead of fleeing?

Dogs and Their Rank

Those affected by witchcraft often dream of being chased or attacked by dogs. In this context, the dogs symbolize evil spirits. The type and size of the dog in the dream can indicate the spirit's rank and the level of threat against you. These dream experiences are believed to have genuine spiritual implications that can impact your daily life.

If you've dreamed of being attacked by puppies, it could signify the presence of tormenting spirits seeking to cause you distress. This may manifest as minor accidents, such as frequently stubbing your toe or breaking dishes; this pattern of clumsiness could be connected to these dreams. If you often dream of dogs attacking you, it might signal that a family member is associated with these spiritual attacks.

The Pitbull Dream

Dreaming of being attacked by a pit bull may symbolize significant challenges in the dreamer's everyday life. Individuals who have such dreams often struggle to remember them, and their attempts to recall the dream may result in fragmented, scattered memories. These difficulties are believed to be signs of witchcraft attacks targeted at the dreamer.

As a result of these attacks, the individual may encounter confusion in various settings and experience unusual rejection. This rejection may manifest as consistent turning away by people who should offer help, support, resources, and opportunities. The attacks may also be associated with feelings of abandonment, leading to overwhelming loneliness, confusion, and disturbing thoughts regarding death and depression. These attacks primarily target the individual's mental and emotional well-being rather than their physical state. Physical symptoms are seen as a reflection of the spiritual attacks being faced.

Dog Bites and Physical Manifestations

In some cases, if a person is bitten by a dog or another animal in their dream, they may experience unexplained illnesses in their physical body. Victims of such dreams may experience unusual swelling in various body parts, or begin to appear older than their actual age. Other symptoms include facial discoloration and skin diseases that are difficult to cure. The intention behind these attacks is to disconnect the victim from reality by diverting their attention toward witchcraft manipulations instead of the power of God.

Lost Vehicles and Leaking Roofs

As these traumatic experiences continue, the individual may frequently dream of losing or misplacing their vehicle. Another common dream involves the victim constantly dreaming about their home's roof leaking, or strange men working on it. Instead of fixing the roof, the men seem to be destroying it or unable to finish the repairs. As a side note, dreaming of a house is often interpreted as a symbol of a person. In this context, the roof represents the individual's mind.

The Way of Protection

Be attentive. Having these dreams is usually a sign that witchcraft or sorcery may be directed toward you. Remember that you are facing a spiritual battle. Any physical harm or negative experiences you encounter are simply the result of what has already been achieved against you in the spiritual realm.

To overcome and withstand such evil, you must embrace righteous living. This entails accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and cultivating a deep relationship with Him. If you do not believe in Jesus Christ, or if you are a believer with unconfessed sin in your life, you may be vulnerable to witchcraft attacks.

Can someone who doesn't believe in Jesus Christ be delivered from witchcraft attacks? Yes, but it is only a temporary solution. The spirits will eventually return, because the person does not have the spiritual protection believers in Christ have. This protection is explained in Ephesians 6:11-17. It is in the best interest of anyone who has not yet accepted Christ as Savior to do so, to experience the spiritual benefits of being a believer in Jesus Christ.

Fasting and the Ranks of Evil Spirits

As a Christian involved in deliverance, it is essential to prioritize fasting as part of your Christian discipline. Evil spirits have different ranks, and using the appropriate method to expel them based on their rank is necessary:

"Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting." (Matthew 17:21)

Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude that prayer alone may not be effective in some deliverance situations.

Breaking the Spirit of Procrastination: A Prayer of Deliverance

Today, someone is facing significant challenges in completing projects they have started. You feel
overwhelmed and frustrated, and you need help determining where to begin.

Perhaps you find yourself at work, Church, or a friend's house, mentally preparing a list of tasks to tackle once you arrive home. You feel energized and motivated to complete them. However, when you get home, you suddenly lose all motivation and become lazy, losing interest in your planned tasks.

You may have taken on commitments, obligations, and promises that now seem impossible to fulfill. In your desperation for relief, you've fallen into the unproductive habit of postponing what you should be doing for another day. Some of you are pushing through exhaustion, pulled in different directions, thinking you must please everyone. It's clear you need rest, but distractions are making it hard to relax or sleep. If this is you, know that God has a message for you today.

The Enemy's Strategy Against Your Mind

The Lord's message to you is this: the enemy has created specific evil forces to work against you and prevent you from succeeding. One of these forces works by letting you plan and build up your hopes and enthusiasm for certain things, then, through the Spirit of procrastination, causing you to put it off day after day. Eventually, you realize you still haven't accomplished what you wanted, and it seems impossible to achieve at this stage. This leads to frustration and feelings of inadequacy. The enemy is pursuing you relentlessly, but his primary strategy is a subtle attack on your mind.

He said your Spirit is spiritually malnourished because of your anxiety and frustration, and because you focus on everything except His Word. Begin to renew, rebuild, and restore your human Spirit by decreeing the Word of God.

Renew Your Spirit With the Word

"Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices." (2 Corinthians 2:11)

He said to remind the devil that he is a liar:

"When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." (John 8:44)

"For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace." (1 Corinthians 14:33)

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." (Isaiah 26:3)

"Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them." (Psalm 119:165)

"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world." (1 John 4:4)

A Prayer of Deliverance

Heavenly Father, as believers in Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, we humbly ask for Your help in permanently disabling the devices of Satan, specifically the spirits of procrastination, inadequacy, failure, lack of enthusiasm, and defeat. Your Word states that the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead resides in us, as mentioned in Romans 8:11. Furthermore, Your Word encourages us that He who dwells in us is greater than he who is in the world, as stated in 1 John 4:4.

We will continue to have faith until we see the manifestation of Your Word, which says, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Philippians 4:13). Father God, please hear our prayers and reveal to us anything in our hearts that may hinder our communication with You. We pray in the matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Winning The Spiritual War Behind Your Setbacks

 Stay focused on what you've decided to accomplish today and, by extension, on your future goals and
desires. The spirits of distraction, delay, frustration, setback, limitation, and restriction have received specific orders from their master, whom we know to be Satan, to frustrate your efforts in getting things done today.

A spirit is behind whoever or whatever is blocking, delaying, or frustrating your efforts. Begin to pray every time you recognize the spirits of delay, frustration, limitation, and restriction operating behind that person, place, or thing.

Flesh and blood, meaning people, places, and things, are simply the tools the kingdom of darkness uses to achieve its objectives on the earth and to retard the purposes God has assigned to His children. Every setback you're facing has a face you can see and a spirit you cannot. Learn to fight the one you cannot see.

Rule One: Your Battle Is Not With People

The first rule of spiritual warfare is stated clearly in Ephesians 6:12. Please cement this into your understanding:

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12)

Notice that Paul names the opposition specifically: principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, spiritual wickedness in high places. None of them wear a face you can confront in the break room or the driveway. If your battle plan targets a person, you are fighting the wrong enemy with the wrong weapon on the wrong battlefield.

Rule Two: Your Weapons Are Not Physical

The second rule of spiritual warfare concerns the weapons available to us in this fight:

"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

Cursing, fighting physically, or seeking revenge are not the weapons of spiritual warfare. Instead, we fight with the Word of God, the Holy Scriptures, against the spirits of delay, setback, frustration, limitation, and restriction.

The Sword You've Been Given

Paul does not leave us to guess what weapon he means. A few verses after naming our real enemy, he names our real weapon:

"And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." (Ephesians 6:17)

A sword is not carried for decoration. It is carried to be used. Every delay you're facing has a matching scripture that dismantles it, if you'll take the time to find it, speak it, and stand on it.

Stop Fighting the Person, Start Fighting the Spirit

Were you passed over for a promotion today, or in the past? Don't go after your boss or that conniving, manipulative coworker. Instead, grab hold of the rulebook, your Bible, and pray the relevant scriptures against the spirits sent to hinder your progress in whatever area you're being challenged.

Your tears or your self-pity don't make the spirit realm feel sorry for you. The spirit world responds to law, not emotion. Its rules and protocols answer to your spiritual commands, and those commands will always be found in the Holy Bible.

Resist, and He Will Flee

Too many believers enter spiritual battles utterly ignorant of spiritual laws, principles, and protocols, fighting instead from anger, frustration, hate, and the flesh. Scripture gives us a simpler, more effective strategy:

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7)

Let's be clear: being a child of God does not automatically make you a winner in this spiritual war. It is being a child of God who respects His laws and rules of spiritual engagement that makes you a winner. You must learn and adhere to the spiritual rules of engagement, and I repeat, that rulebook is your Bible.

You are not at the mercy of whatever is standing in your way today. You are, as Scripture declares, "more than conquerors through him that loved us" (Romans 8:37). Pick up the sword. Stay focused. Finish what you set out to do.

You Are God's Plan for the Poor

Whatever promises God made in His Word concerning addressing the needs of the poor, make no mistake:
His plan to accomplish this will always be through us.

The evidence of that statement is clearly expressed in Philippians 2:13:

"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." (Philippians 2:13)

This scripture is renewing, in the sense that while we may feel the need to assist someone in a lesser position, the reality, according to Philippians 2:13, is that God ignited our desire to help, because it is His will to assist whomever He is directing us to. God will help that person as promised, but we are His feet and hands on the earth.

Why He Positions the Poor in Your Path

It is never by accident or chance that you're motivated to assist the less fortunate. Believe me when I say this: God is fully aware of the events concerning your life and your future. When He positions someone less fortunate than you in your path, He is inviting you to invest in that person's life, so that He can assist you in your own future troubles:

"Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness." (Psalm 41:1-3)

According to God's plan, the poor unknowingly help us, even as our mission is to help them. This revelation emphasizes the importance of compassion and empathy for our fellow man, and of obeying the still small voice of the Holy Spirit as He continues to inspire us to meet the needs of the less privileged.

Please, don't ever miss another opportunity to help the poor who unknowingly came to help you. We are the hands and feet of God on the earth, sent to manifest His promises among each other.

"For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy." (Psalm 72:12-13)

The New Generation of Leaders: Stepping Aside for God's Next Move

Dr. Myles Munroe spoke extensively about a new generation of up-and-coming leaders just before his
passing. In his statement, he mentioned how many would die, and in some cases, their deaths would be unexplainable. He said this would all be part of the transition of ushering in God's new leaders.

I was convinced a long time ago that the generation Dr. Munroe spoke of exists among us today. However, they've been suppressed and oppressed by those who refuse to accept that their time and purpose in leadership positions is done. It's time to step aside gracefully as God presents His new set of non-compromising leaders.

Scripture speaks directly to this understanding:

"And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding." (Daniel 2:21)

A Generation Suppressed, Not Absent

I am also convinced that this understanding is not limited to religious organizations, but applies to every area of life. I have already witnessed some of these transitions, and I am confident more are on the way. Some churches, businesses, and even families will not grow or advance, and specific curses and backwardness will not be removed, until certain people are moved out of the way. The reality is that their archaic way of thinking and leading has frustrated and delayed God's will for many. In other words, many who are under them should be much further along than they currently are.

It's Not Just the Church

Based on the apparent changing of the times, coupled with the audacity to stand against the establishment, I see myself as one of the emerging leaders Dr. Munroe spoke of, part of this new leadership generation. Many like myself are relentless in seeking the consistent, manifested power of God in action. We are done with the traditions, the culture, the nursery rhymes, and the seed-sowing exercises that have produced zero results over the years for the parishioners, but excellent returns for those who lead them.

Joseph: Conditioned Through Hardship

Whoever you are reading this, if you feel you are among the new emerging leaders coming forth, the Lord has likened you to Joseph, the son of Jacob. Joseph was hurled into slavery, hated by his brothers, falsely accused by Potiphar's wife, and imprisoned. He had no idea that it was during these very seasons of hardship and oppression, especially at the hands of those he loved most, that he was being conditioned for the new order of leadership he would unknowingly be catapulted into.

A Different Spirit

Like Caleb and Joshua, these new leaders will carry a different spirit:

"But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, I will bring him into the land whereunto he went." (Numbers 14:24)

Trust me when I say this: they can only keep their foot on you for so long, only as long as God Almighty has assigned them to. Nevertheless, the day is quickly approaching when you will be catapulted and advanced to where you were destined to be before the foundation of the world. God has called you to lead. If you examine your hardship, your troubles, and the way people treated you, you'll see it was God's way of conditioning you for leadership, in most cases showing you, through the behavior of your oppressors, what not to be like when it is your time to shine and lead.

Know When to Pass the Baton

Your most important lesson during this season of conditioning, my friend, is to always stay conscious of the glaring facts: when your purpose is up, and when it is time to step aside and pass the baton to the next generation of leaders. Do not die with the baton in your hand that you should have passed on long ago.

In the coming months, we will see the emergence of more new leaders, despite those who try to hold on to what has already expired for them.

Times and Seasons: Why God's Delay Is Not Denial

Time is advancing you toward what you have been praying for. Please do not allow the pressures, anxiety,
and impatience of life to cause you to judge God foolishly.

Times and Seasons Are Purpose Managers

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

Every purpose is governed by times and seasons. It will make no difference how many times we ask God for a particular thing, or how loudly we cry out for it in prayer. The law of time and seasons will always govern its arrival. All of us have an assigned amount of time to exist on earth. Times and seasons are also purpose managers.

Before any of the things I'm about to mention can occur, we must exist first, obvious as that sounds. This is why Ecclesiastes 3:2 opens with, "A time to be born, and a time to die." We are assigned specific times and seasons on the earth, from the date of birth to the time of death, to accomplish a particular purpose. However, fulfilling that purpose requires certain experiences. No matter what your goal may be, you will encounter and have to deal with the following seasons:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. (Ecclesiastes 3:2-8)

Ecclesiastes 3:2-8 can also be called the law of the temporary because, in essence, it teaches that nothing exists forever. This passage is especially relevant to those who have recently lost a loved one. In times of death, we quickly realize that all of us, and all things, will one day be spoken of only in the past tense. That simply means the time of expiration has arrived.

Time Comes With Judgment

"A wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment." (Ecclesiastes 8:5)

Simply put, a person who understands the law of time and seasons knows that alongside time being assigned to everything, judgment also accompanies it. We are accountable for the time given to our purpose. This is why we are commanded to redeem the time:

"Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." (Ephesians 5:16)

Redeem the Time

I want to say to someone: stop wasting time, and focus on doing what God has placed you on the earth to do. Please consider that grudges, bitterness, unforgiveness, and offenses consume the limited time and seasons we have. When it's time to exit, we cannot reclaim those times or seasons.

I strongly suggest we allow the written law of Ecclesiastes 3:2-8 to remind us that everyone and everything has an expiration date. If you simply observe what's going on in the world, the expiration dates of many are arriving quicker than expected.

Make no mistake, the days are quickly approaching when you and I, just like those who have gone before us, will make our exit, only to stand before the supreme Judge of times and seasons to give an account of how we managed our allotted time to fulfill His will for our lives.
